This hit home in a big way! Our kids sacrifice birthdays, holidays, Christmas, time with their mom, summer vacations.
If we ever are short to respond or update please know either we are working with the dogs or taking some much needed family time!
Kids get burned out too.
Jenna took a little step back from 4E Kennels for a little bit. She’s spent more time with friends and her horses, so it’s nice to see her back with puppies and helping with deliveries again.
It’s a delicate balance and one I’ve messed up so many times with my kids.
We live this life and our kids don’t have a say on this life style but as they get older, I don’t want my relationship effected because of 4E Kennels. I also want them to understand this is a family business and we do what we need to do for our dogs.
So for all of the other families out there that deal with similar things, I feel you today. The shame and guilt that comes along with being a parent can be heavy then add home schooling and a family business.
Sigh….
Today, I give myself permission to just enjoy these moments. And know that I don’t have all of the answers on how much to push while also honoring my children as I have taught them we do with our dogs too.
