Just a small backyard chicken flock tended to by the Hurst kids. Hand gathered eggs, laid by free range chickens.

We are going to start a weekly chicken spotlight of our flock. No one better to start this highlight than our original bird Dumpling!

Dumpling is a 6 year old Barred Rock hen. She's one of our friendliest birds, and is the easiest to handle and hold. Barred Rocks lay light-brown medium sized eggs. Although Dumpling is no longer laying eggs, due to her age, we love her and she's a great member of our flock.
