I know I haven't posted in some time, but we've been really busy this year!

I wanted to take a moment to share this awesome set of Krampus ornaments that my family made right here in downtown Jackson! Keep in mind that we are not really artistic and yet they still came out so good!

There's a new ceramics shop/gallery that has been offering all these great holiday workshops, and I hope to be able to go to another one soon! Curiouser Clay

Thank you all for your patience and patronage!

All current clients who were booked before my injury (and have current rabies vaccines) have been contacted to reschedule.

If you feel you may have been overlooked, please send me a text.

If your pets' rabies certificate on file with me is not up to date, I will need the new one before scheduling.

I'm now working a part time schedule, so my availability will vary from week to week.

If your availability has changed as well, please let me know that too!

I'm still rescheduling those who were booked before I was injured.
Please be aware, if I don't have a current Rabies Certificate on file, I won't be able to book your pet when it's their turn.
Please make sure to send me a clear photo of each pets current Rabies Certificate. It should include your information, your pets information, the date administered and/or the date next due.
This is state law and non-negotiable unless you can provide a letter of exemption from your vet.

🚨🚧🚨IMPORTANT UPDATES🚨🚧🚨

1) As of today my building is officially sold, and I just signed a lease to rent back a portion.

2) My cast is off! I have to wear a splint for a couple months to prevent further injury to the thumb, though it could take up to a year for full healing.

3) I am feeling well enough to begin scheduling my smallest & most well behaved clients. I have a specific order that I need to reschedule, so please be patient with me. I'll try to get through it as fast as I can, but that also means if I don't hear back in a timely fashion, you may lose your opening.

***Unfortunately, larger & more difficult clients cannot be booked at this time, but I will update again once I have a better idea of when that can happen***

I know it's been hard to wait to get your pets pampered, so if you were able to get in elsewhere and might not need an appointment ASAP, please let me know that when I text you about scheduling.

I can't tell you how much it meant to me each time someone reached out to wish me well and ask how I was doing. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again!

I was injured by a client on Monday morning, and got the news yesterday that I need to have my hand in a cast for at least another 5 weeks. Full healing could take 12 weeks or more, though I am hopeful I'll be able to return to work once this cast is removed.

I have already sent texts to those clients who were booked for the first six-week period, but please be aware that any other pre-scheduled appointments may need to be adjusted as well.

I will be taking this downtime to rest, recharge, recover and re-evaluate everything that brought me to this moment.

I will also be putting my building back on the market to find a better location. When I'm cleared to work again, I plan to do so in a much smaller space, so that I can concentrate more on grooming and less on external factors.

I have been so blessed to have had the opportunity to provide excellent care to so many pets in our community. Thanks to all of you who have stuck with me over the years. I am constantly evolving and adapting and this is just the beginning of another chapter of my journey.

The Night Before Christmas Grooming

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the shop
Not a groomer was stirring, they'd all come to a stop
The stockings were hung by the dryer with care,
Unfortunately each one was stuffed full of hair!

The bathers were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of chapped hands danced in their heads.
The groomer's new clippers lay nestled in her lap
She had just passed out, t'was a long needed nap!

When in the reception there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my seat to see what was the matter.
Away to the reception desk I flew like a flash,
Forgot about my new clippers they fell with a crash.

The moon high in the sky shone in thru the door
Illuminating paw prints I'd missed on the floor.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight filthy reindeer.

With a little old driver, I almost felt sick
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.

He never pre-booked but each year he came
I kept calling to remind him but it was always the same.

"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and V***n!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! Inside to the Hall!
It's time for some grooming!! Baths for you all!!

Twigs and leaves stuck to them, mud up to the eye,
When I laid my eyes on them I thought I would die.
So into the bathing room everyone of them flew,
With the sleigh full of Toys, Blitzen stopped for a poo!!

And then, very softly, I heard a throat clear
Santa looked bashful he wouldn't come near.
For he knew that we'd worked for fourteen days straight

Right at this moment he pondered his fate!
'Dear groomer' he said, staring down at his feet
'I need you to help me, even though you feel beat'

'My reindeer are filthy, they stink like a skunk'
'How'd you like riding behind them getting covered in gunk?'

I stood there, mouth open, tried to hold back the tears
Why could he not book ahead after all of these years?

But I saw straight away I would have to be quick
I couldn't be responsible for letting down old St Nick!

I woke all the bathers they complained with good reason
As I told them about our last job of the season.

I saw teeth grit, thought I was in for a fight,
But they rolled up their sleeves I was so proud that night!

Water was turned on, bathing systems priming
Reindeer into the bath with military timing.

First shampoo, conditioner, rinse then HV'ed
Some carding to finish, in the cage hope none pee'd!

When we all finished up the reindeer each looked divine
I went to my drawer for the very last time.
Bandanas were cut and tied on one-by-one
A little Spritz of cologne and, voila, they were done!

Tears welled in his eyes as Santa looked at his team
Groomers saved Christmas, and so it would seem,

And as they flew off, a faint voice I did hear...
'Hey groomer, can I pre-book for the same time next year?'

I'm getting a lot of inquiries as to whether I am accepting new clients yet.

I book out pretty far in advance because my regular clients are all prebooked, and I am currently working on my 2022 calendar.

If you are a potential new client waiting for an opening, please be aware that my Client List is closed for the rest of 2021.

When I'm ready to add new clients to my schedule, it will help to know what kind of time slot your pet will require.

Cali started coming to me in 2015, for her first big girl haircut.

She was such a silly girl, but oh so lovable!

It broke my heart when her mom let me know she passed away overnight recently.

May her memory live on within our hearts ❤️

One of my clients came to me with 3 Yorkies, and now they have 4!
You may recognize Merle, Hank & Charlie, and I'd like to introduce you all to June!
Her big brothers are already teaching her what to do at the salon, note that she isn't hooked up like they are in the last photo, yet she's sitting nicely for the photo shoot!
I'm so looking forward to watching this little girl grow up!

We had such a great time! Even though Grace took 2 days from us.
That is, until we got home.
Thought we were in the clear from Montezuma's Revenge, but I got hit (all night) last night and my husband is sick today.
I will be working since I'm booked solidly for the next few weeks, but please be patient with me if it takes a little longer than usual.
