She graduated from the University of Florida’s College of Veterinarian Medicine in 2004. She practiced small animal medicine in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia Beach before moving back to her home state in 2012. Approximately half of her career was spent exclusively working with cats, as they hold a very special place in her heart. Dr. Pitkat strives to create a stress-free visit for every p
atient, treating each pet as if it were her own. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but especially enjoys internal medicine, treating senior pets with multiple conditions, pain management, and oral health. At home, Dr. Pitkat enjoys spending time with her husband Frank and their four children. Her 5 cats have trained her to do their bidding. The entire family has developed a passion for TaeKwonDo, training together over the past 7 years. Dr. Pitkat earned her 3rd Dan black belt last year as well as her senior instructor certification. The family also enjoys traveling, gardening, and any outdoor activity! Dr. Pitkat is thrilled to serve the greater Jacksonville community in their homes with HelloVet!
