As you are probably well aware of, Glenn & Rick’s K9 Academy held its last session and graduation last night. Do to circumstances beyond our control we lost our lease. We looked for an appropriate venue for our business but could not find an adequate location/place for what we wanted to invest in. With Rick possibly starting a new venture and without an affordable location we decided to close our doors.
We can’t thank the hundreds and hundreds of loyal customers that supported us and our fabulous, dedicated training staff. We will keep our Facebook/Instagram page up and running to post updates. Again, from Glenn, Rick, and our entire staff Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️❤️❤️

If you or your kids like Police K9 Demonstrations, mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 13th, 2023. Over a dozen Police K9 teams, from Indiana and Kentucky, will provide a free to the public demonstration from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, at the Charlestown Middle School Football Field, located at the rear of 8804 High Jackson Road, in Charlestown, IN. Limited bleacher seating will be available, however spectators are welcome to bring lawn / folding chairs.

The demonstration will conclude with a meet and greet session between spectators and participating handlers and K9 dogs.

The Charlestown Police Department K9 Division, assisted by other local K9 Divisions, will be hosting the annual Indiana State Police K9 Workshop during the week of September 11th through 15th, 2023. The free public demo is part of the week long workshop, regulated by the North American Police Work Dog Association.

In an effort to reduce public concern, please note that this week long K9 workshop will involve several daily police training sites, all in the immediate Charlestown area; resulting in a daily larger than normal police presence around town.

Good morning everyone.

We’d like to let all of our past, current, and future customers know we received a very unexpected text message from our landlord, ALL FUR FUN.
**************************************”Hi guys, hope your week is going well.
We are needing to expand and that means I need more space. Your lease is up Jan 31, 2024 and I do not plan on renewing. I’m hoping this gives you ample time to make new plans and have enjoyed having you as a tenant.
Growth is good and I appreciate your understanding.”
**************************************With that being said, we are not angry/upset with them because we understand this is the price of doing business.

With us being hit with this so suddenly and out of the blue, Glenn & I have not had the opportunity to sit down and discuss what our next plan of action will/should be.

Our next session starts the week of September 18th and runs until the week of October 16th. This could possibly be our last session as Glenn & Ricks at this location. We never hold classes during December and always start our first session of the year the 2nd week of January.

So, you might consider signing up next month which could be your last opportunity for quite some time for us to work with you and your fur babies!

Last but not least, we want to thank ALL FUR FUN for giving us the opportunity to lease the building, all of our past, and present very loyal customers, because without you we would not be where we are today. Our loyal trainers who have worked tirelessly to assist our customers. We wish all of you and your fur babies the very best of luck going into the future and always continue working towards becoming the best you can be! We will continue updating our pages with any information as we decide what our next steps will be.

If any of our previous, current customers or anyone you may know who may have a building in the area for rent at least 2000sq ft, please reach out to us.

Yes it’s that time again graduations are starting.
Congratulations to our recent graduate, Raven, who moved up from her puppy socialization class to our basic group class. She is as high energy as you can get but has learned how to channel that energy and be passive when needed. Thank you for allowing us to work with you guys. It’s great seeing teams make great strides in their training. Keep up the great work!!

Working on meet & greets with the dogs so they will be prepared to go out in public. We teach the dog to be in a sit and a passive manner. We don’t want our dogs to get overly excited and want to jump up for attention. We want them to have a clear head!

Working with a dog that came to us for help with resource guarding of his feed bowl. We have to see if we can recreate the behavior in order to fix the problem. What we determined it was more of a learned behavior instead of true resource guarding. I would like to announce that everything is going well and Remi is coming along nicely as you can see in the photos below.
