Today is National Resuce Dog day! We fell in love with these two goofballs we were boarding for Friends Furever Animal Rescue last year and they have been the best addition to our little zoo we could have ever hoped for.

This was definitely a job that took a whole village we were privileged to have had one of our employees trap them with a volunteer, we were able to house them until they could receive medical care, and most importantly our fantastic groom Jacqui was able to give them an amazing haircut and a few baths in between and without a problem from either they were grateful for the help and we are grateful we could’ve helped this process! ♥️🐾🫶🏽

One of the first big upgrades this kennel has been lucky to have in the past year has been these kuranda beds! It keeps the dogs off of the concrete floor and gives them a real bed to lay on every dog absolutely loves their beds! It has been extraordinary for these rescues to have a cozy comfortable spot while waiting for a forever home! 🐾♥️🫶🏽 Friends Furever Animal Rescue

We love getting updates from owners with Friends Furever Animal Rescue mamma Sadie the husky was in boarding for close to six months with not a lot of applications luckily she was adopted into this perfect family that’s able to give her all the love and attention she deserves and let’s her go adventuring with them! She became a kennel favorite when she started showing her husky personality! We hope they continue to have a fabulous life! 🐾♥️🫶🏽

Windswept Kennels is looking for a part-time groomer to join our team. We're a family-owned boarding and grooming facility. We're looking for someone to work 3 days a week, must have your own tools, have at least two years of experience as a groomer, and can communicate well with the pet parents. We groom a lot of big dogs, so we aren't looking for a groomer that only does small-medium-sized dogs. Saturdays are a must, but we can work with you on other days. A typical day is 9 am to 5 pm, with boarding and grooming drop-off starting at 8 am. We're looking for someone who knows the basic breed clips, has good finishing skills, and is open to instruction. Pay is on a commission basis. We supply shampoo, bathing systems, dryers, and tables. Please apply in person at 2335 S Lincoln Ave Jerome, ID 83338.

It has recently come to our attention that there has been an issue with our phone not being answered in a timely fashion and voicemails not getting a return call back. The problem has been addressed with our staff and we want to express our apologies. We truly value the loyalty of all our boarding and grooming customers. We want to thank all of you for being understanding and sticking with us through the ownership transfer and while we work through the learning curve.

After 17 years, we are retiring and have sold Windswept Kennels to our groomer of 14 years. You may already know her as Jacque. She is an awesome groomer and because of her talent, she has helped grow our business to what it is today. It made sense to us to have her and her husband Scott take it over. I wanted to reach out and thank all of our loyal customers and their awesome pets. It has been our pleasure to serve you and your fur babies. ❤️❤️
