Update: Amidst unimaginable loss, Nate, Karli, and their family draw strength from the unwavering support pouring in from their resilient community. The heart-wrenching devastation of losing everything has left them sifting through the fragments, striving to decipher the urgent needs that lie ahead.

Update on the Animal Survivors:
Aura, Thor, and Ruby (Tegus), Bebe (Ferret), Phoenix (Burm), Dante (Ball Python), Mon (Nile Monitor), Ace (Cat), and Zinny (Dog) persist in their journey towards recovery, casting small rays of hope amid the desolation. The family is dedicated to sharing regular updates, offering glimpses into the resilience of these cherished companions.

Urgent Animal Needs:
Contributions for essential veterinary checks

You're not going to believe this.

In the heart-wrenching task of sifting through the devastating wreckage of the fire and handling the remains of Nate and Karli's beloved pets, a remarkable ray of hope emerged. Two additional snakes were found alive and well! Not only did they survive the catastrophic fire, but in the aftermath, they endured the cold until they were discovered. It's a poignant reminder that even in the midst of tragedy, small miracles are everything.

As they navigate through this challenging time, it has also come to their attention that two other families in the area have endured catastrophic fires and lost everything. In the spirit of the season of giving, any excess donations of goods they receive will be passed along to those families. The family is happy to report that they have received an outpouring of donations of clothing and personal care items, and their needs are now secured in that respect. Any remaining incoming or surplus donations will be forwarded on to other families in need affected by fires.

Meanwhile, both Nate and Karli have lost a fair amount of their livelihood, which depended greatly on the farm they had worked so hard to build. Their financial needs will be ongoing for the foreseeable future as they've had to secure temporary accommodations, and there are many costs involved in becoming re-established in such a small space.

The continued support from the community means the world to them. Thank you for being a part of these small miracles and their journey towards healing.

We are providing an update on the ongoing assessments after the devastating fire that consumed Nate and Karli's home. The extent of the damage is disheartening, with catastrophic losses of property and pets.

According to Nate, none of the snakes survived the fire. However, amidst the tragedy, we find solace in the survival of one ferret and three tegus. The family is now grappling with the immediate need for clothing, food, and all other necessities.
