Established in 2014. We do have birds available for adoption. Contact us to set up an appointment. My husband and I have been rescuing birds since 2005. We have a varied flock from cockatiels to macaws. It all started with our first bird Marshmellow, a Molluccan Cockatoo. We always had a fascination for the Exotic Birds and always wanted to get up and personal with them at the bird shows and coul

d never understand why we could not but we do now. Our next was a Umbrella Cockatoo named Lou that was given to us because the owners were expecting a baby. The third was a 27 year old Blue and Gold Macaw, named Sabastian, who was given up because the owner drove a truck and was on the road a lot and couldn't take care of him. That's where it started. We could never say no as it was for the welfare of the Bird. We have had up to 100 birds at one time but have adopted many in the last year. We currently have 53 (and that number changes weekly) in the sanctuary which include Macaws, Sulfur Crested Cockatoos, Molluccan Cockatoos, and Umbrella Cockatoos, Cockatiels, Parokeets and Amazon's. Some came to us because they are loud, some because they bit the owner and others because the owners were just tired of taking care of them. They certainly can be a lot of work and can be loud but the bond that can be established is worth it. We have done workshops at local pet stores and local Boy Scout meetings and plan on many more in the future. We would like this page to profile our birds and serve as an information base.

These two came in today. They are a Standard Sulfur Crested Cockatoo and a Blue Fronted Amazon. Age and names we do not know. The Amazon is blind and surprisingly friendly, and talks up a blue streak,the cockatoo is very sweet and friendly also. Need some suggestions for names on these two..leave a post if you would.

Five new kids were surrendered this last week, let me introduce them to you. Hahns Macaw, 23 years old named Ducky, Sun Conure. 12 years old, named Jelly Bean, Blue Crown Conure, 12 years old, named Gonzo, Blue and Gold Macaw, 7 years old..if interested please call us to set up an appointment

This is the new residents that have come in the last two weeks. One Timneh Grey, four African Greys and one Amazon. They will be available for adoption the end of June. Remember numerous visits will be required to be sure it will be a good match. Give us a call for any questions you may have. Welcome Rosie, Maslow, Noah, Perry, Wally and Roxie.

Joker finally chose someone. His new Mom can interact with him beautifully. Joker had a sad start in life and that reflected in his behavior. Only on other person was able to interact with Joker. Mary is able to pet him and is working on stepping up. I will surely miss you but you are where you belong. Thank you Mary for choosing adoption and taking on lover boy.

Forgot to post these two beauty's when the came in. They are a bonded pair but are housed in side by side cages. No hanky panky in this rescue. They are both in their late 20's. The male is Mac and the female is LA LA. The both of them are very sweet most of the time, and when either is out of site to one another get toy earplugs. Welcome kids

Jamie deceided to join me on the recliner today. He has been with us for a while, very sweet just doesn't want to step up out of his cage. Baby steps..such a cutie.

Maynard signing on: Look who arrived today this is Candy...he yes he is 33 years old. He is a Sulfur Crested Cockatoo. He has been around to a few homes because of some aggression. He loves bananas, mangos, apples and sometimes a Graham cracker. I bet he likes pistachios also so I know Mom is going to make me share. That's okay, anything to make him feel at home. We all welcome you and we know you will fit right in.

Boo seems to be adjusting great to her new forever home. Great job guys.

HAPPY NEW YEAR. Hopeing 2022 is good to you. Thank you to everyone who has supported us through it last year. Thank you Lori for volunteering, that has helped more than you know. We brought this baby home yesterday from Las Vegas. His name is Rio and he is 20 years old. He is the sweetest and loves to cuddle in. He is a joy. Glad you are here.
