Our little three legged friend Roo who is showing he’s the boss of his foster home! You can apply to meet and possibly adopt him on fodrescue.org
Don't forget we have kittens ready for adoption still! All are spayed/neutered, UTD on all age appropriate shots, dewormed, etc, including our three legged kitten Roo! Adoption fees are $80. All of our cats are in foster homes where they are learning to be house cats, and interacting with kids, dogs, and other cats as often as possible. You can get more information on fodrescue.org. We also have 17 kittens under 8 weeks that will be coming available as they get old enough
Here's our little Roo with three legs. He came through his amputation great! He had an old injury in his back left leg, an old spiral fracture that we tried to splint while it was soft but it did not heal straight. We made the decision to amputate while he was little and young so he could recovery and relearn to function with it and so as he grew and gained wait it wouldn't cause his pain. He can walk, run, play, climb to the top of our cat trees, plays with our other cats, Roo's going to make a special family a special friend.
Roo is neutered, almost completely healed from surgery, UTD on all age appropriate, vet approved shots, dewormed, and treated for fleas and ear mites. He has been exclusively in foster homes, our animals are not in a facility. His adoption fee is $80 and you can apply at fodrescue.org and see our other adoptable pets!
We have plenty of adorable kittens that will be at the Columbia Mall Saturday from 11-4. Here are most of our adoptables. Please note that Roo is a special case as he is missing his right back leg due to an old injury. All have been spayed/neutered, UTD on all vaccinations, dewormed, treated for fleas and mites as needed. We also work exclusively from foster homes so your kitten has been living in a house with a family learning how to be a good house cat!
Adoption fees are $80 and you can apply ahead of time on fodrescue.org and see our other adorable pets!
Tonight, sofa time is including some chew time. She got a little too wound up so we had to take her chew away and put the cone back on. Now she is pouting.
Our current fundraising total sits at $860.00 so we still have a ways to go to our $4000 goal. Donations can be mailed to PO Box 206, Kirksville, MO 63501 or can be made at www.fodrescue.org
Cinnamon loves to play as well!
Here’s a few friends in the works that have about 4 weeks until they’re ready for adoption! Pepper the grey tabby, Ginger and Saffron the orange tabbies, Nutmeg the calico, and we can’t forget momma Cinnamon who’s kinda chocolate tabby but kinda torbie at the same time. They sure are having fun for now!
They’ll be ready for adoption once they’re big enough to be spayed/neutered, will be UTD on all age appropriate shots, dewormed, free from fleas and ear mites, litter trained, and used to a bustling household with other cats and a senior dog who pays them no mind at all. They’re starting to come out of their shells and all have very different personalities. Adoption fees will be $80 when they’re ready!
Munchkin’s 1st Birthday
Munchkin has been in the rescue since she was 8 weeks old. She’s celebrating her 1st birthday with us today. She sure will love her turn at a forever home! You can apply at fodrescue.org
Kittens somewhere between 5-7 weeks old that weigh as much as 2-3 week olds at best from coccidia and severe malnutrition when we got them. Sadly 3 were too weak and crossed the rainbow bridge despite our best efforts but these 4 are fighters and are gaining weight gram by gram everyday. 🤞 that down the road you’ll see these guys eventually healthy and up for adoption!
Meet the 7 newest babies about 4 weeks old that lost their mom before they were all the way weaned that haven’t figured out yet that you don’t have to crawl IN the food bowl to eat. And that you can’t eat the food bowl itself. There’s always that one special one 😂 They’re super sweet and doing very well otherwise. We’re working on litter training and then they’ll be opened up to a bigger space to play in. Meet Dory, Sully, Wally, Woody, Cecilia, Eve, and Joy, named after Pixar movie characters because they start meowing the minute you walk in the room and they remind me of the little guys in the claw machine from Toy Story 😂
