I get many questions so I tried to answer many in advance. Each puppy leaves with a copy of this.

Puppy care
This is just a short note on the care of your new puppy and is not intended to cover everything.
1) Puppies need regular vet visits just like a child
2) Puppies get worms and need worming every 30 days for the first 6 months of their life, they will then need heart worm treatments for life. You will see worms in the manure after a worming - - - that shows the treatment is working.
3) One of the best ways to bond with your new pup is to teach it to walk properly on a leash. The pup should be beside or behind you. If they are in front they assume they are in charge and can exhibit unwanted behavior such as aggression or just not minding.
4) Leash training is very important. At first letting the pup drag a soft leash in the home is helpful as if you need to step on the leash they assume you have magic powers and respond quickly.
5) Many people find bonding easy if they put a sleeping bag on the floor and spend a night or two down with the pup or at least a few naps.
6) Grooming time is a great bonding experience - - - 2 minutes a day with an “under coat rake” will greatly reduce the hair in the house and will promote a great relationship with your pup.
7) Food aggression can be a real problem and is best prevented as a pup. Make sure you pick the food bowl straight up when they have eaten about half of their food. Make the pup sit quietly for a short period of time and then place the food back for them.
8) Remember fat puppies or adult dogs much like fat people will be prone to joint problems. I am not saying the dog needs to be skinny but please watch their weight. Until 6 months of age I feed a good quality puppy food in the morning ( no more than they will eat in 10 minutes ) and a high quality adult dog food in the evenings. If you feed too high a protein you can cause the bones to outgrow the muscles and cause joint pain.
9) Rabies shots are both required by law and are just good practice. Up to 10% of pups that get the rabies vaccine prior to 6 months can develop epilepsy - - - please wait until 6 months for that vaccine but do not forget it!
10) German Shepherd puppy ears go up with baby teeth - - - when the adult teeth start coming lots of times the ears go down. Do not bother them and do not worry as soon as teething is over they will go up and stay up.

I wrote this several years ago but I feel it bears repeating on the 20th anniversary of the event.
Please read and share with anyone you think would care.

The untold story

Many people are going to remember the terrible actions of a few on 9-11-2001

How many realize that without government intervention the true spirit of the American people showed itself in Shanksville Pennsylvania.

The politicians in power used this tragedy to put in place more levels of control of the general populace - - - this is one of the long lasting results of the terrorist actions. Our politicians ( both Republicans and Democrats ) saw this as a way to place more restrictions on us and have us willingly submit - - - we are to follow the Judas goat to the slaughter .

We have willingly given up more and more of our freedom to feel more safe - - - are we more safe? The ATF has not stopped any actions as revealed in the reports back to congress - - - it just abuses our population on a daily basis and wants even more power every day.

If you stand back and look at the big picture you will realize that the more freedom we give up and the more control they take the less safe we are.

If there were people with Concealed Carry permits legally allowed to carry on the planes used in the attacks none of the planes could have succeeded - - - thus showing we as a populace are less safe by restricting our means of self protection. As it were after hearing the news of the other planes the people of Flight 93 unarmed by the bureaucrats still stopped the further tragedy that was planned - - - without any help from our " officials "

We the American people will always have a few who are evil but the
overwhelming percentage are good and moral and will rise to greatness as shown on Flight 93

I hope we can get people in office who will understand we need to abolish the ATF and other agencies that are in place to give power to the politicians and give the power back to the great people of this country.

Luke 22;36 Jesus said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag, and if you don't have a sword sell your cloak and buy one.

Jesus did and does not want us to be evil but he wants us to be able to defend ourselves from the evil that will be present as long as Satan exists.

This is a christen society - - - we have to recognize that Satan is a power and if he can sneak in thru our politicians and erode our rights soon we will be as sheep and depend upon the sheepdogs for everything - - - we are God's people and this country was founded on this principle - - - let us remember this and remember also Government is not made up of our " Leaders " they are our represenitives and make sure we elect people who represent us
not people who want to rule us!

A friend of mine had a litter fo AKC whites on Julj 4th - - - he is asking $1,000 @ which I feel is fair for the quality of animales he has - - - text him for details at 765-635-8500

Tom is a very good man that I can recomend. Hopfully I will have whites the end of the year. The picture is of Tom's pup, if you contact hm he can send pictures of the parents.

It has come to my attention that after I dropped germanshepherdkingdom.com a scammer has picked it up - - - do not send them money you will just lose it - - - any questions call me direct at 765-624-9342

They have created an email address that has nothing to do with us - - - we have reported them and the hosting site ( Go Daddy.com ) who says there is nothing they can do as I discontinued their service.

Repeat I no longer have a .com site!

With hot weather here we need to keep the kennel cool and insect free - - - this type of fan on the floor will kill flying insects as well as move lots of air! Atic fan thermostats are in the rafters that turn the fans on at 75F and shut them off when the temp drops back below 70F

Well it hit 90F this afternoon and the dogs kept rotating in and out of the wading pools - - - this is after checking the cattle and they kept jumping in the creek.

I have found out that if you put some #4 crushed stone in the pool the alge stays away for a couple of weeks - - - without it is back in days.

Yes the whelping box has dried blood right after the blessed event but rest assured as soon as everything calmed down it was spotless - - - but with Mommy running in and out the mud came back quickly!

I have added a water heater under the sink in the kennel - - - this allowed me to move the dog tub down there - - - mush easier to wash dogs there than haul them to the house!

By putting a portable dish washer hook up the faucet it is quick and easy to connect a water hose with either a nozzle with 9 spray patterns or a massaging hand unit that allows water flow. The dogs love both!
