After a long Mardi Gras Sugarfoot was ready to roll around in his stall for a bit before going back to his pasture!!! At 22 years old he is a senior member of our unit and one of the most reliable mounts our unit has ever had!!!

This past weekend two of our Officers were injured in a shooting. Please keep them in your prayers for a speedy/full recovery as well as their family for strength during this hard time.

It’s always fun when we get to share our love for the Mounted Unit with our community.

Last night members of our Mounted Unit had the opportunity to do so with Lafayette Police Department Citizens Academy. We enjoyed the interaction and were grateful for the interest showed to us with questions about our unit. We are truly appreciative of the opportunity to share our experiences as mounted officers.
