Eileen is well known for her fabulous communication skills as most of our clients know her voice as soon as she picks up the phone. She can often be found snuggled with our patients in recovery or spreading her positive energy to those who need it (including our clients). ‼️Veterinary Nurse/Assistant‼️
Companion Animal Hospital is seeking a candidate to fulfill a full-time veterinary nurse/assistant position. The ideal candidate should have passion for the detail in patient care, exhibits compassion towards all pets, and yearns to grow their knowledge base in the veterinary nursing field. The candidate should be comfortable with both feline friendly and canine handling skills, and is open to learning new techniques. Our team requires a person that is friendly, professional, is an excellent multi-tasker, and comfortable communicating with clients both on the phone and in person. Roles would include, but are not limited to: lifting and holding patients for exams, answering the phone and answering clients questions, obtaining pet history and typing pertinent information into our patient information system (typing experience needed), assist veterinarian and other nurses with anesthesia procedures/surgeries and charting, handling dogs (small and large) with finesse and must be very comfortable with our feline patients as we are AAFP feline friendly. Cleaning kennels and maintaining the cleanliness of our hospital requires someone that understands the importance of this task and is a stickler about sanitation. One of the most important traits this candidate should exhibit is efficiency as a multi-tasker yet still good with detail. We do frequent patient exams on the floor and so a candidate should be comfortable getting up and down with ease and enough strength to lift up to 50lbs on their own and up to 100lbs with assistance. Since veterinary medicine can be different every day, the candidate should not only be punctual but also flexible in hours as sometimes cases run over regular appointment times. Finally, since our practice culture is based on personalized care that is unique with each patient, the candidate must be ready to learn and collaborate with our team each day to achieve this passion of ours.

Milo is one fantastic therapy dog. His natural ability to make everyone smile just by showing us his smile is therapy in itself. We just couldn’t get enough of him 😊
