Today we concentrated on balance, while playing games. Horseback riding improves balance in several ways, by strengthening muscles, stimulating physical responses involving center of gravity, and stimulating proprioception. All these great things happening while having fun on the back of a horse!

Terry’s journey with Miracles began back in 2006 around the start of the program, and the impact has been nothing short of miraculous. Despite her doctors’ predictions, her conditions delayed progression has defied expectations, thanks to years of therapeutic riding and dedicated personal therapies. One of the focuses of the lesson today was large circles in both directions, utilizing her legs to apply pressure. With arms outstretched, Terry worked her leg and arm muscles, engaged her core, and maintained balance. The sun-drenched Colorado day even gifted us a trail ride, soaking up essential vitamin D along the way. To conclude the lesson Terry stretched her legs, ensuring she stays flexible and strong. Another unforgettable day with Terry, a true favorite among our volunteers!

UPDATE ON MARIAH...

We are happy to announce that Mariah is well on the road to recovery! Thanks to all of you who contributed in many ways.

We would like to thank The Stone Family, and a number of other donors who gave so generously to both our "gofundme" page and personally.

With help of the Mariah fan club we were able to cover her vet expenses.

HOWDY PARTNERS! Well the time is coming for us to put our thoughts to the Great, the Grand, 2024 Miracle Hoedown! It will be on September 28th from 5 - 8 pm.

We are just getting started but put your thinking caps...or cowboy hats on and let's think about how we can make this the best Hoedown ever!

Is there something that you can contribute to our Awesome Raffle? Well we are going to call on you soon step forward and make your contribution.

Remember that this annual event is important for us to meet our annual budget and everything helps!

MTRC would like everyone to know that our lovely home is under new management! And we are thrilled!

Recently our beloved Mandi Greenway, who has been working at the ranch for years, and her business partner Matt Sullivan, have become new management of the ranch!

And...the ranch has a new name. Sterling Equestrian Center.

But it is all looking like rainbows for Miracles! Because we will continue business as usual and the new management will make it better and better.

Not only that! But many of the boarders who had left the ranch a few months ago, are coming back!

So everything is looking like rainbows!

We would like to thank Ent Credit Union which recently provided MTRC with a substantial grant that will help us to serve our MRTC community.

Ent Credit Union has been around for 25 years and they are still approving Youth Endowment Series (YES) grants to nonprofit agencies to benefit youth in the communities. In 2023, we awarded $200,000 in grants to deserving organizations across the state of Colorado.

Our own Lori Rhodes was at the event to represent Miracles at the presentation.

Sierrah has been a loyal MTRC student for 10+ years and we have seen her grow from a sweet young child to a formable strong young lady.
