Canine Advanced Training Services of Las Vegas

Canine Advanced Training Services of Las Vegas Canine Advanced Training Services is proud to be a leader in Force Free Training for all of Las Vega
(29)

A true Las Vegas native, Dan Rana was born in Southern Nevada, but it wasn't until 2010 when he and his wife Deanna moved to Texas, that he began his dog training career. As a life long dog owner and lover, he thought he knew the basics of dog training and behavior, but sought a way to build a stronger bond and relationship with his fur kids. As a proud parent of four miniature dachshunds, he too

k the first step towards formal education in dog training and enrolled in the dog obedience program at Animal Behavioral College.
After completing the required curriculum, he was paired with a mentor trainer, Wendy Dek VSPDT. He immediately realized that there was so much more that he could learn to sharpen his communication skills with people and dogs alike. He realized that his formal education was only the first step to a career doing something that he was extremely passionate about and was honored to be invited to join Canine Advance Training Services.
In August 2015, he moved back to his home town of Las Vegas to be closer to family. As a Certified Professional Trainer, "I want to be able to help others learn how to communicate effectively with their dogs without the use of force, pain or punishment - to build new relationships or to repair damaged ones." Like Wendy, "I truly believe there are no bad dogs, just poor communication. I want to help people love and enjoy their dogs the way nature intended."
From basic obedience, to every common behavior problem, Dan has experience with dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes. He has logged many volunteer hours helping shelters and rescue organizations in both Texas and Las Vegas. Whether in need of behavior modification or training your puppy, Dan can help with all of your dog training needs!

Please meet our Adoptable Dog of the Week, Eloise, a 4-year-old pit mix who needs a loving home to begin her new life.

Eloise came to us back in May after several shelter workers reached out for help. She was completely shut down in her kennel. She would bury her nose in the corner and refuse to move. She had to be carried from one place to another and basically played dead. Concerned about her mental state, they asked us to take her in.

When she came to Hearts Alive Village, we noticed that this girl had a slight tremor and feared that we might be dealing with distemper. She received a full battery of tests and we discovered that while she was negative for distemper, she did have hypothyroidism which could have been causing the tremor and her shutdown behavior.

Eloise is now on thyroid medication twice a day (easily given in her food), and the tremors have stopped. Her emotional state has come a long way. She walks on her own and gives us tail wags and snuggles. She'll be retested soon to make sure her thyroid levels are correct.

We don't know what this poor girl has been through, but we know that in order to fully bring out her personality and help her confidence increase, she needs to be in a loving home.
If you are interested in helping Eloise blossom, please visit www.heartsalivevillage.org/adoptable-dogs to meet this sweet pup.

HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT OUR FOSTER PROGRAM?

Southern Nevada Animal Rescue League's Foster Care Program is all about providing second chances. This program places animals in temporary homes until they are ready to find their forever homes. Foster parents open up their homes and hearts to animals in need. These dedicated volunteers provide an opportunity to grow and socialize our rescue pets from abused and neglected animals to those displaced due to disasters and unforeseen emergencies.

Since our foster homes provide sanctuary for all our rescued animals, we can only save as many lives as we have foster homes. We have no office or shelter building. Only volunteer foster homes and boarding partners with limited space. We provide all basic supplies, food, vet expenses and guidance from our experienced foster counselors. Back up "pet-sitting" for the foster animal is also provided in the event that you have travel plans..

We ask that you please consider becoming a foster parent and provide the love and care to our rescue's animals in your own home. Foster parents decide when and what animals they foster. All food, medical care, and supplies are provided by SNARL.

We have an abundance of medium to large breed dog-friendly dogs available for foster now. Text Chelsea at 702.717.3065 if you'd like to become a SNARL foster! It's free and we can potentially match you with a foster as soon as tomorrow.

If you’re unable to foster, you can still support the program with a donation. We cannot do this without the financial support of caring people like YOU!

Welcome little itty bitty pitty Marley to the LVRC family.
We got an urgent message that this girl was in danger, so we grabbed her with help of former foster mom.
This little baby has been in 4 homes in her 1 year of life and the last owners had her 2 days and were threatening to just let her out if someone didnt come get her.
She is very shy, no confidence and acting out negatively towards other animals( huh wonder why 🤪🤪) Her first foster mom who fostered for the original owner socialized her with kids small dogs and cat. She went to a family per the owner who had her 4 or so months and gave her away to the family that had her for 2 days and they probably didnt properly introduce this confused little girl to their large husky.
Well we are glad we got her and she is safe with us thanks to the former foster mom, Danielle Schreiber and our awesome partners Adventure Pet Resort.
She will need some time to decompress and she is in heat so we can not spay her just now.
We will have better pics in next couple days. We will asses her and be looking for a foster family soon.

Looking to Adopt????

Please meet Benny the German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd.

He doesn't trust the government. Believes in UFOs. Has a sneaking suspicion the mailman is spying on him, which is why he tells his friends to hand deliver any and all messages between the hours of midnight and 3 a.m. Has quite possibly spiraled back into his caffeine addiction. Is admittedly not very good in front of the camera. 🤣

Alright, now that the fun part of our bio is done, let's talk business! Benny is approx. 2 years old. He requires a very active home and life-style as this fella just wants to "go go go" all the time. He is spunky and playful! He is great with other dogs and all people he meets, however, an adult only home (or home with children over 10) may be ideal for this fella due to his energy level.

He has so much to give and will surely bless his perfect family with endless love and lots of kisses for years to come.

If you're interested in meeting this goof-ball, please complete an adoption application at www.snarllv.org today!
