ISO high school rodeo horse to LEASE. My student is looking for a mount for HS Rodeo region 6. She has a horse, that is plenty fast. But unfortunately she is super tiny, and just doesn't have the weight to manage her free runner. Her horse is for sale, but she needs something to run (so also open to trades/and upgrading for the right horse). Super confident jockey who can ride. But she is tiny so can't force one to rate or turn. Needs point and kick. I've let her use my horses in the past and she's done great on them, took excellent care of them, and got in the points at Jr High rodeo. She's now in HS.
Let us know what you have. Region 6 area.
They are watching comments to see if something fits.

What a great first playday we had with the Rafter77 Arena team. Thank you everyone for braving out the storm and joining us! Thanks to the Wrangler Drill team for the wonderful intro to our day.

ISO family safe trail horse for one of my customers. Can sit, be saddled and ride off. Doesn't need to be fancy, but should have the basics (neck rein, wtl, stop, back up). Ok for adults or kids to go ride put in pasture. Sound.

This was something I posted about 7-8 years ago, still true today, I think, maybe even more so---

"When you have an instructor that you hire, the way that many participants in individual sports hire the people to teach them, you also have the ability to fire them if what they ask you to do is other than what you wish to do.

If you are on a team. where the coach is hired by a school, college, or some professional franchise, you either try to do what the coach tells you, or, probably, you won't make the team. (Photo, USET coach, Jack LeGoff)

Many riding instructors are highly aware of how vulnerable they are to whether or not the students they teach are "satisfied" with the lessons they get. And because of this, some instructors have a tendency to say "Good job" when what they might more realistically be thinking is "Just plug along and practice and get fitter and show me you want this."

Sure, some riders "bolt" from one instructor to another because the current teacher may be inept, but often, I think, they are seeking approval more than they are seeking to improve through athletic and intellectual effort.

Which may be why the tough old fashioned "basics, basics, basics" trainers have fewer students than some of those who praise too profusely, say, "We need to get you a better horse," and cater to what the student wants rather than to what the student needs.
