Urgent South Los Angeles Shelter Cats/Kittens

Urgent South Los Angeles Shelter Cats/Kittens A page to share South LA/Chestetfield Square cats and kittens in danger of imminent death to adopters, rescue groups and foster homes. Not general information.

I am acat volunteer at South LA. I love all these cats, from tiny newborn kittens to discarded seniors and all in between. We all failed them as society, whether not spaying and neutereing or seeking medical treatment or not cherishing our pets a a family member, but rather as property that can be discarded with the easiest excuse. Some do come as a rusult of death or a family tragedy. All reasons

, the cats didn't ask for this only hope that we, as a society, can find them a way out the front door. South LA direct phone number 213-485-0303 or 0214. Supervisor city cell numbers Matt 213-305-4147, Javier 213-792-9343 and Leslie 310-701-1689. These are only for emergency pulls, medical information, etc. Please use the above shelter numbers. The shelter is located at 1850 West 60th Street, off Western between Gage and Slauson. I have been told over and over that this location stops people from coming to adopt, but I have been a volunteer for over 7 years without incident. In fact, I have met so many wonderful people that live in the area and that care for the well-being of the neighborhood animals.

Pretty China is looking for a new home. Her previous people have only good things to say about her: very affectionate with everyone including children, lived with other cats (slow intros are still a must for a new cat), loves a good cat toy, & in her free time liked to sunbathe & watch life by the window. But China at 2 years old is competing with youngsters & her shining resume and letter of recommendation is not getting her anyone interested in her. Maybe a share can help her find her . All South LA shelter animals come spayed/neutered, microchipped and current on all their shots (including rabies) • South LA City Shelter: 1859 W. 60th St, Los Angeles, CA 90047; 323-565-2161

Luna has been in the shelter since May 15 in the kitten room! Throughout her time there, she has been scared & uncomfortable with current living situation. She came in as an owner surrender so this change must’ve been so upsetting for her. She needs someone who will patient with her & help her transition back into a house cat.
