Back in January Sampson’s parent reached out for my services, but did not end up needing them after all. Fast-forward to five months later I hear back and I finally got the pleasure to work with sweet Sampson!

As summer is quickly approaching, and weather starts reaching in the higher 80’s+ it’s important to remember these tips 💡

1. Try to stay in a grassy area vs asphalt during the day

2. Payment is HOT and will double in numbers during the summer. If you cannot leave your hand on asphalt for longer than 7 seconds, neither can your dog! Dog shoes are a wonderful start.

3. Warmer weather will bring out more pets and owners. Please be responsible for your safety and the safety of your pets. Always keep your dog on a leash.

4. Check your pets water bowl every hour or every few hours to ensure the water is refilled and cold

5. In California coyotes are out even in the daytime as the weather has grew warmer. Never leave your pets unattended outside even if they’re in a gated yard.

6. WATCH FOR SIGNS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION! 2 very common signs are pale gums, and bright pink tongue. Seek medical emergency immediately if you feel your dog may be experiencing heat stroke.

✨ Frankie ✨
I started sitting Frankie in December due to an injury he had from jumping off the couch. It was told to Frankie’s parents he may be paralyzed on his back legs. He had to be carried and pushed in a stroller when outside to keep weight and pressure off the area. Surprise! This angel boy made a full recovery and is using his back legs and has tons of energy again! Although, he made a full recovery I’m honored to continue working with him throughout the week as his family accepted me into theirs 🤗

SPRING IS HERE! As we go into a new season here are a few pet safety tips to lookout for!

1. Avoid leaving Easter candy around or near pets
2. Monitor pets around toxic chemicals while deep cleaning your home
3. Although us humans love the look and smell of blooming flowers, keep in mind how toxic the supplies can be if ingested by our pets
4. With wetter days coming our way, pests are likely to follow. Make sure your pet is on heartworm preventive medication, as well as a flea and tick control
5. Warmer weather means hotter asphalt!! Thermal contact burns can happen when a pet is on a hot surface. Please invest in booties or walk in the grass if possible
6. Look for signs of itching, sneezing, and sniffling to see if your pet has seasonal allergies
