Hello Greenbriar neighbors please keep an eye out for my dog (black lab mix), His name is toby...He is an indoor dog but ran out the house Wednesday evening 7/30/24 around 8:30pm in the Greenbriar neighborhood in louisburg NC. He is super scared of lightning and just ran off. He stands out as he has a bald spot in the middle of his tail. If anyone sees him please call me at (252) 767-7921.

We are very sad to have to share with you that our sweet Prince has passed away. Sadly Prince stopped breathing after surgery today. We would like to express our gratitude to Franklinton Animal Hospital for taking such good care of him today.

While at the Franklin County Animal Shelter Prince was loved by all staff. He greeted each member of staff with a lick and the occasional hug. While we are all sadden by his passing we are happy to have been able to give him a grand adventure around town this week.

Our 2 dogs have been missing since Monday morning 7/22/24 around Reed Rd / Collins Mill Rd area. (right picture) is a belgian malinois mix. He is approximately 3 years old.
JJ (Left picture) is a boxer mix. He is approximately 9 yrs old and is very spritely.
Both dogs are friendly, up to date on rabies and vaccines. We are looking everywhere we can to be reunited with our dogs. Any help is greatly appreciated. Our handsome boy Prince had a great outing today. He took a trip to Fox Creek Animal Lodge, LLC to get a good bath and then made a pit stop on the way back to the shelter for a pup cup from Packhouse Coffee Company! This sweet boy is scheduled to be neutered on Thursday and will be available for adoption on Friday!

These sweet pups recently found themselves in a bad situation. They are now in search of a "better" home. Please help us help them! If you are not in a position to adopt or foster, we encourage you to share our post and reach out to animal rescues. Our staff have already been in contact with several rescues and we are hoping to reach more who may be able to help.

Happy Monday everyone! The Kennels are full! If you are interested in a pup come by the shelter and meet with them. We are open until 4pm today and 12-4 tomorrow as well. We hope to see you soon 😊

Our pups and kitties wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Independence Day and remind you to keep your furry family members safe and inside this evening. Fireworks can be quite scary. They all look forward to seeing you when we reopen tomorrow at 12pm for adoptions…..for now please enjoy seeing their sweet faces and some clips of this mornings shenanigans. 🇺🇸

What better way is there to cure the “Monday Blues” than to add a new furry member to your family? We have lots of cute pups and lovable kitties ready to join your family! Come by and meet them!

Belle is making her shelter debut! She has just finished weaning her SIX babies and returned to the shelter this morning. While we are super excited to reveal her babies in the next few weeks (trust us they are just as gorgeous as their mama) we think Belle deserves a grand debut. While in foster care she was an extremely attentive and protective mama. All six of her babies have grown like weeds and it is very clear that she went above and beyond as a mama. She is taking the day to get reacquainted with staff and the shelter environment and will be ready to receive visitors tomorrow during adoption hours! Welcome back Belle……now let’s find her the most “purrrrrr”-fect family :)

Nica and Maybelle may just be a match made in play date heaven! These two girls took to each other quickly this morning. Staff finally caught a glimpse of Nica’s playful side! Two things staff discovered today….1-Both girls are way more interested in being with people but were happy to play with each other. 2- Nica has some energy she has been hiding and likely would thrive in a home with the right pup! Both girls are currently available for adoption and would love to meet you!

Fern and petunia

Petunia has found a friend!! Fern and petunia are getting comfortable in their new play group!! Such beautiful girls, they make the best of friends!

Nica

Meet Nica, she came into the shelter 5/3/24 as an owner surrender due to no fault of her own. Nica is spayed and enjoys being outside. Come meet Nica and all of the other animals available for adoption tomorrow 12 pm to 4 pm. We hope to see you soon!

Gloria is still in need of rescue. She has been here since 4/26/24 (26 days). Her behavior is affecting her mental health and the mental health of the other dogs in the shelter. She has kennel aggression and is getting better with shelter staff every day but does not react well to strangers. Gloria is currently listed as rescue only due to behavior. We are currently advocating for her to be pulled by rescue as soon as possible.

Isabella

Meet Isabella, isabella is still very much a puppy with so mush energy!! She loves to run and play, she also loves to jump…which we are working on those manners here at the shelter. This girl is also spayed!! So now that she has been introduced who is looking for some puppy love!?! For just a $30 adoption fee Isabella can fill that void and give you all the love she has!!

Blair

Meet Blair!! Blair is has her ears up on high alert looking for her forever home!! Have you ever seen such a beautiful girl!?! Blair loves her outside time and toys but often prefers her head rubs from staff! Blair is a happy girl and she will be happy to meet you!! Come by this week to meet her!!

Petunia

Have y’all met Petunia?!? She is a whopping 104 pounds of love!! Petunia often forgets her size and protests to be a lap dog! She loves smelling all the smells outside and staff attention! Petunia has been in the shelter for 26 days and is still looking for her forever home! Petunia has been spayed for just a $30 adoption fee she can be your extra large extra loving lap dog!!

Happy Thursday!! Some of the pups got a little extra loving and a chance to enjoy this beautiful day outside. Even though the shelter is closed today, come check them out tomorrow from 12 pm to 4 pm for a chance to add a little extra loving to your family.

Meet Isabella! Today Isabella became available for adoption! She is an excitable girl who is learning we get more pets for not jumping! When given the chance she will carry her blankie with her!
