Went and saw Sarah Woods today at The Health Food Shoppe/Tellico Plains and sipped tea with these sweet ladies! 🫖

So many benefits with Tumeric!

***In order for the body to absorb it better you need to couple it with black pepper!
Research shows that tumeric becomes 2,000% more bioavailable -or easier to soak up- due to its piperine content.
Piperine is the main driver behind black pepper benefits for digestion and more; it’s an alkaloid with anti-inflammatory properties of its own.

Here is a recipe for golden milk!
This delicious drink has been prescribed in Asia and India for centuries for the benefits it provides!

In pot bring to a Simmer!

2 cups milk (your choice you can even use dairy free!)
1 tsp tumeric
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of black pepper
1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
Optional
1/2 tbsp coconut oil
Others spices such as Nutmeg, cardamom, ginger, vanilla extract.

Once combined remove from heat, pour into glass and enjoy!

Fights off flu like systems, boosts the immune system and as you've read, so much more!

Farm raised Canned pork! 🐖

I didn't have mamaws and papaws that taught me how to cook, nor did my parents (a couple things, but not much).

Everything I know about Canning, I've had to research and learn by trying and doing!

Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone to learn something new!

9 out of 10 times, you'll be glad you had!

My canned pork is 1 of Zac's favorite dishes!

Harvesting just a few things from the garden today!

I wanted to share about potatoes! 🥔

They are 1 of the easiest veggies to grow!

I never have used snips from the store, I have always just used the potatoes in the house that were sitting in my basket and started growing.
I usually put them in a paper bag until they add up and then plant them, yes u will let them sit all year as they will continue to grow in the bag!

You can plant them in almost anything, I've come to know this by experimenting with clay, hay and soil we've put in.

I dug these babies up bc an ant pile was nesting in my box where they were growing.

I'll just replant more snips and wait.

It's that simple.

I've frown them in hay bales, in tires, in raised beds or just right in we'll dug clay.

Share any info you've gathered from growing potatoes.

Went and stocked up at 'The Garden Path' In Madisonville!

I did not get pictures but they now stock our jewelweed , dandelion, and comfrey Salves!

Along with our honeysuckle and dandelion Shea Butter Moisturizers!

They won't last long! 🌼

If you have never gone to the garden path, go! The ladies who own it are such a blessing!

Guys!! I've been making homemade wool dreads! 😀

This is something a little different than what I've done before, but something I've been making and doing in my own hair for awhile now!

I'm happy to say I will now have them made and ready for install!

If you are a fan of dreads but aren't wanting to take the leap to have them permanent, these faux dreads are the answer for you!
As they can be easily taken out and reused! 😁
Get 1, 2 or your whole head! They are super fun!!

I'll have many different lengths and colors! 🌼
I've got an array of different beads and clips to decorate your dreads!

Hello Rose Love!
Intoxicating and enchanting, right now rose infuses the atmosphere with her beauty and aroma. Why not add this loveliness to your meals. The flower petals (and later the hips) are edible.

Use the petals raw in butter, salad, as a general garnish or cooked in beverages and desserts. The fresh hips can be eaten raw, or cooked into a fruit sauce, dessert or beverage.

Qualities:
Flower: mild, perfume-like, sweet, sour and bitter; gently tones & astringes female reproductive & respiratory systems; harmonizes blood flow.
Hip: sour; high in vitamin C & bioflavonoids; promotes general health, helps during colds and infections. Seed: hard and not tasty can be processed into medicinal oil or powdered into food as vitamin E supplement.
