SDTC would like to congratulate our club members that have competed over the weekend at the AKC Rally & Obedience trials held at Lower Camden County Dog Training Club.
German Shepherd Echo & Eliza, Havanese Nena & Juliet, All American Shelby & Wendy and German Wirehaired Pointer Dylan & Stu!! In addition, our newest SDTC member, Tracy & her Golden Retriever Zelda in Novice A!! Each of them went on to earn qualifying scores in their classes.
Well done & keep up the good work!! 🏆

It's been a fun 2 trial day at the AKC Rally event hosted by Lower Camden County Dog Training Club on Saturday. It was quite successful for 3 SDTC members & their German Shepherds.
Von Reign gsd Chinook, In the Rally Advance ring for her first time ever, received a near perfect score of 99 out of a possible 100.
GSD Freya had double Q's in Rally Intermediate (RI) gaining the new title with nice scores of 87 & 94.
20 mo old gsd Echo sweeped the day with great scores of 99 & 97 and has earned his Rally Novice (RN) title!
22 month old Isobar Von Reign aka Ice has earned her Rally Advanced (RA) title with a decent score of 94.

FYI:
First Monday of every month is Rally Run-through night. A course that includes beginner thru advanced signs will be set up from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. **There's a $10. walk-in fee to all non club members.

We've had very cool results over the weekend for a few of our SDTC members that stepped into the ring!
Newcomers to entering dog trials were Juliet & her Havanese Nena. They've qualified for their first leg in Rally Novice along with a 3rd place rosette. Also new to trialing was Cathie & her Corgi, Blue. They've earned 2 legs towards Rally Novice & were awarded 2nd place rosettes at both trials.
An AKC Rally Intermediate title went to Stu & his German Wired Haired Pointer, Dylan. Along with the new title, they were awarded 3rd place at both trials!
Pat and her German Shepherd Freya picked up their first Q in Rally Intermediate. Gail along w/her Von Reign gsd Ice have earned their first 2 Q's in Rally Advanced class.
In the AKC Breed ring was Stellar Huntress Great Dane, Ava! She made it into the Winner's Circle for 12-15 months class.

The Ocean City Christmas parade was a little rainy, however we still had 10 brave people and 9 dogs of whom stole the hearts of the spectators. Also, we enjoyed the many compliments on how well behaved our 4 footed partners are. There was a little miracle for the parade, as it stopped raining during our walk and then started raining once again shortly after the parades end.
It was a nice surprise to see club members Dan & Otis making it into print for the Ocean City NJ Dailys web page!

This 2.5 minutes of video is of us trying to get all of our dogs to sit & stay for the photo. It's really funny and mini dachshund Trixie stole the show!! 😄

Attention all SDTC members:

Please make a note of the date change, as our annual Pot Luck/BBQ will be celebrated this Sunday, Oct 15th. Start time is at 12:00 noon. We'll be there rain or shine. If it happens to be raining, we'll potluck party in the building, w/all doors open. BBQ-ing outside in between the raindrops! If you have any special dietary and/or drink preferences please bring along anything you'd like. Hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks and water will be on hand! Ellen will be sending a follow-up text to everyone the next day or so. Meanwhile, if you have any questions ahead of time please feel free to contact her at 609-226-6557

**As always, your leashed dog is welcome. Some chairs will be scattered around, but you may want to bring your own.
