Would you like to be part of the Paws Of War volunteer team? Volunteers are needed to for local street fairs in Nassau County. We are looking for 1)Veterans with their trained Paws of War service dog and 2)Volunteers to work a table, hand out brochures, talk about Paws of War, etc. Volunteers must commit to a specific date for a specific fair. We are hoping to get enough volunteers for each fair so we can do shifts, but generally the fairs are 9am to 4pm.
The fair volunteers at the table will be trained on zoom. If zoom is not your thing, we can arrange an in person training. Listed below are the dates for Nassau County. We are still working on our Suffolk County list. If you can commit to one day minimum, please feel fill out a volunteer application. We will be contacting fair volunteers within one -two weeks.
