Last week we welcomed our "newest member of the pack" Caden Lyle! He's been the perfect addition to our family, although the dogs are currently a little indifferent...they're not quite sure what he is 😅
I have been receiving messages regarding my return and just want to thank everyone for their patience as I do not have an exact return date. I'm taking this time to heal, live in the moment and cherish each snuggle.
I will continue to post updates and reach out to everyone when I know a date in the next few weeks 🥰

***PSA!***
I didn't think I'd have to write a post like this, but it has become necessary - and it may be in future reminder texts as well. Please know I am not trying to be rude, or aim this at any one specific person, but rather set some needed boundaries for my family.

Just because I am working from home does not make our home open to the public. It is our HOME and we deserve privacy and respect.

When you arrive to pick up or drop off your dog, please knock and do not just enter. I try to be ready and watching for you so that I can greet you at the door, but there could be reasons why it may take me a minute to answer. Luckily we do have a covered porch so you will not be in rain or snow! :)

When I do answer, I will be ready to take your dog inside with me to get started and do not plan to let everyone inside our home. I have policies in place for payment, etc that are outlined in the reminder text you will receive the week of your appointment to keep things running smoothly and quickly.

One of our personal dogs is NOT SAFE for you or your dog to just walk in. I could be using the bathroom before starting your appointment (lets face it, this baby belly isn't getting any lighter on my bladder 🤣) I could have a kiddo home sick, I could be changing or any other number of things that people do in the privacy of their own home.

Once the baby arrives, it will take us time to adjust when I come back to work and appointments could take longer if I need to stop to care for him. I could be changing a diaper, putting him down for a nap or nursing him openly, again as people do in their own homes.

If you show up unannounced and enter my home and just start walking around looking for me, I will send your dog home with you in whatever condition they are currently in and not accept future appointments.

I will ALWAYS call or text when your dog is done or almost done...I promise, you will not show up to them magically done and waiting for you if I did not contact you.

Please continue to call, text or message this FB page to make your appointments as anyone that just shows up to do so will be turned away.

I know this is a lot of change from being in an open shop, but it is what had to be done for right now to continue working with you all and your dogs. Maybe the future will bring another "shop" option for the business, but until then please remember that our home is still private property.

This sweet little girl, the tiny runt of the litter, my pick as a keeper right off the bat, crossed the rainbow bridge last night despite our best efforts.
Mama dog knew something was off with her and continually pushed her away and we just couldn't keep her here with us. 💔
I only had 24 hours with her, and I know mother nature and the breeding world can be cruel, but it's still tough.
RIP little one, until we meet again.

One thing that has been a bit of a challenge in my new home space, which is much tighter quarters than the shop, is photo angles! Some doggos are super cooperative about it, others not so much 😅

8 years in the making right here.

For those that don't me, about 8 years ago I got my first mini Aussie. She gave me an undying love for the breed and I quickly realized they were a breed I wanted to raise and share with others.

I began building my breeding program, but then life happened. I had to sell all but 2 of my dogs, uprooted my life, moved, changed career paths, etc.

I almost gave up on this dream all together...but in an unplanned turn of events, here they are. My first litter of true Miniature/Large Toy Australian Shepherds!

A beautiful merle male, and a merle and minimal white, black female.

My intention is to keep back the tiny, Merle female to carry on her momma's (my first Aussie) genes to build this program as I intended all those years ago.

The other 2 will be looking for their own 🏡 just in time for Christmas! 🎄😉
