Update: Blaze has a wonderful new home!

Blaze is a broke broke broke TWH. Will go all day out on the trails by himself. Smooth and steady. He is 20 yrs young and has been diagnosed with Cushings. Keep him on low sugar grass hay and he is golden!

Update - Lucky has found her forever family.

Lucky is looking for a family to love her. She is around 18 yrs old and is broke. She is very sweet but can be a little pushy. PM if you are needing a new friend.

I will never understand why things happen the way they do. This is a hard life and sometimes the loss seems overwhelming. Horses are the most kind and spiritual creatures I have ever met and when they leave this world too soon it leaves a huge hurt that nothing but time seems to heal. I always ask “why didn’t I do something sooner or could I have done more?” God hold Chewey in your arms today and know that we love him and will miss him❤️😭

Hello my name is Chewy. I am an owner surrender that joined the BHGER clan a few months ago. My people are finding out in this heat that I REALLY love water. I love it so much that I stand in the water trough and splash an play. Which in return leaves the water muddy and I won't let anyone drink.

Despite my people putting in a different water trough I like to go back an forth to each one. I, Chewy am wondering if someone out there has a decent size tub or kids swimming pool that they are willing to donate so I can still play in the water without bothering my brothers from another mothers water. Or if you are not able just enjoy the pictures of my shenanigans. I'm sure my people will be taking more.

Today our beautiful little Poppy crossed over the rainbow. The tumor was cancerous and had likely spred to other parts of her body. The decision was made to let her go and be free to see the glories of Heaven. She was an absolute blessing to our rescue in the short time she was here. RIP little sweat pea Poppy❤️🥰😇😘❤️

Promise found a WONDERFUL home today. She was with By His Grace for 4 years. ❤️ Her new family has 5 kids who will grow up loving her so much.

Assist in cleaning stalls, filling water tanks for the rescue horses. Grooming and turn out opportunities. Some various tasks to complete around the ranch.
Some training opportunities as well.

Yesterday was a difficult day for all of us at the rescue. We received a call about a horse in trouble. We wasted no time in getting our things together and rushing to help. What we found was truly heartbreaking. A horse, hurt bad and alone in a very remote area. We struggled to get to her and tried to get her loaded in the trailer to no avail. She was in too much pain. After giving her some banamine and comforting her while she rested, she was able to get up again and gave us everything she had to jump into the trailer. There were numerous people on hand to guide us out and we were able to get her to the amazing people at Idaho Equine. They rushed to action but xrays revealed that this beautiful creature was left to suffer all night with a fractured shoulder and a broken leg. There were tears and broken hearts as she was released from her pain and set free to soar above the clouds. I am so proud of our angels - Kelsie, Jessica, and Jena for springing to action and giving everything to try and save this precious girl. I love you guys and I feel such a sense of loss for this girl, but also such pride knowing her send off was filled with all the love we could possibly give. R.I.P beautiful ❤️

Promise's bareback an halter ride out an about

Promise out for a short bareback an halter ride with our volunteer Echo. Echo has been volunteering with us for about a year and has been here almost every weekend an her days off of school. She works hard in helping with stalls, waters an other general things around the rescue. She has gained more confidence in riding horses an will help out with riding horses. She has participated in the parades with us as well. We want to thank her for her dedication and willingness to help out.
