So Facebook is messaging me that my account (peppers) is scheduled to be shut down for intellectual property infringement. I rarely post on that page. But I’ve followed the link and am now here where they want a copy of my official ID. What the hell? Anyone have a clue? I’m definitely not sending them my passport of drivers license. They even ask for a birth certificate!

We have named this sweet soul Circe, the Greek Goddess of Magic, and we are hopeful that her name will work some magic for her as this little girl has not had a kind road.

She is all of 9 pounds (our social media desk has not learned her age as of yet) but her shelter records tell a story of a hard life... "dog is underweight, condition of skin is due to the poor nutrition the dog has been through. Nails were too long to trim"

Circle has not been spayed, and *shocker* she has a mouth full of rotten teeth and despite everything she has been through her behavior notes on intake noted "no evident behavioral concerns on intake" If that doesn't break your heart, we don't know what does :(

We don't even want to think of how a paralyzed, underweight, neglected little girl finds herself alone in a park in Miami or what the circumstances were that she drug her little self up to someone asking for help and how she got to the shelter.

We are going to leave karma to deal with whoever allowed this to happen, and we are going to focus on Circe and our incredible community, who together, can give love, safety, and a 2nd chance.

Circe is under the care of Dr. Flores and her Team at Southeast Veterinary Neurology. Circe will go to MRI tonight and if she is a candidate, right to surgery.

You are what makes it possible for us to say "yes we can help". Every single dollar counts toward covering Circe's care and makes is possible for us to help not just her, but whatever other little girl is out there tonight and will need us soon. 💛

Finally government doing something useful. I have long advocated using seatbelts for dogs. Dogs can become projectiles in an accident. They can also cause distractions to a driver potentially resulting in an accident. Seatbelts are intended for use with a harness, not a collar, so when you order your new seatbelt, get a harness too Your dog will thank you!

Our sweet Maggie is still waiting for a home. If you are looking for a friend to watch Hallmark movies with this holiday season, she’s your gal ❤️
Maggie is a 10-year-old Puggle/chi mix, and weighs 20lbs. She had a mom, but she could no longer take care of her. Sadly, no one in the family wanted Maggie, so she was scheduled to be euthanized. Luckily, the Vet’s office called P2CC, and we took her the same day. She is a shy girl but very affectionate once she knows you. She loves walks, and her BFF was a cat. This girl has SEVERE skin issues and does have a monthly medical expense which include daily meds, weekly medicated baths and monthly injections that must be kept up with or she will be extremely uncomfortable and suffering.
