Toddy's sweet filly has a name! Meet Matilda! ❤️

She is growing into her long legs. In fact, she put them to the test during her first trailer ride, scraping herself up in the process. Thank goodness for Dr. Martin Kautsch of Quail Valley Veterinary Clinic! We are told little Matilda will heal up just fine.

Matilda's coloring is still so unique. Her pedigree and markings thus far are indicating she will end up a "champagne" colored horse. We are guessing she will shed out as either an amber or sable champagne. No matter the color, she will be gorgeous. Time will tell!

We took our beautiful Champagne Toddy for a little trip to see FSA Provisionally Approved stallion Tade Fan Horp. We are blessed to have such wonderful friends Rafael Ayala and Jaime Ayala to make this breeding possible.

With this heat, baby needed a cool bath. Maria and Fancy were happy to give moral support while helping to desensitize baby to dogs. They are such good Scottie girls! 💕🤣

Look what Toddy surprised us with a week early! A big, healthy Friesian Sporthorse filly! Isn't she absolutely gorgeous?! 💕 Momma and baby are doing great! We planned for baby to be born in our safe, video-monitored foaling stall. Toddy apparently had different ideas! 🤣

After 3 weeks of new horse quarantine, Oofta went out to stretch her leg ls today. I expected a lot more excitement. 😆 This mare continues to show us she is a total sweetheart. 💕

Wilhelmina - Minnie - had her first horse show yesterday. So proud, she earned Bronze Elite! Minnie will go back for inspection/appraisal as a mature mare to see what a judge thinks of her conformation, movement and temperament.

In the meantime, Minnie has some thoughts on her show handler Rafael. 😆

One week old, and we have a name for our beautiful, leggy, champagne Friesian Sporthorse filly.

Introducing Wilhelmina! ❤️❤️

We are honored to own Wilhelmina's half-sister, Top Shelf Opaldine (2021 pure Friesian). Both fillies now have "Clausen" names - from Katie's family tree. This is especially fitting as the Clausen family traces back to Pellworm, one of the North Frisian Islands on the North Sea coast of Germany.

There are several Wilhelmina's in the Clausen tree. Our special girl is named for Wilhelmina "Minnie" (Hillmer) Clausen, Katie's Great Grandmother. She lived from 1895 - 1970, was loved by many. Minnie is fondly remembered.

Happy birthday to our new Friesian Sporthorse filly! 💖 She surprised us a few days early, was born at 1:20 am. Momma Toddy is doing great! Baby is by the breathtaking Begherra of Top Shelf Friesians, out of our beautiful Quarter Horse mare Champagne Toddy.

Thank you to Dale and Kim Dornbier of Top Shelf Friesians for trusting us with a breeding to Begherra. This filly is a dream come true!
