After careful consideration and many nights going through pros and cons of getting "older" while remaining a dog groomer, I have come to the conclusion that in order for me to continue this work and do it well I will not be able to groom bigger dogs. I'm sorry for whomever this affects and I hope that you understand. Just know that I do love the big kids and have enjoyed working with so many here in town since 2013.

So far work is going pretty good 👍🏻 Not quite getting the range of motion I would like to. I'm still going to need to hold off on grooming my few larger clients. Holding my arms up for roughly 2 hours isn't going to work. If and when I'm able to I will let everyone know. Sorry for the inconvenience and I do so appreciate your understanding.

So I am going to give it a try tomorrow. I am hoping to not make my shoulder very angry with this plan. Unfortunately if you have a dog that is taller than 14" or weighing more than 30 lbs I will not be able to groom them at this time. Once this heals completely things may go back to normal. But until then it's little kids only. Also, reminder calls will be going out at the regular time and I will include all pets that are in that size range in my calls. We'll see how tomorrow goes. Thanks again for everyone's continued understanding.

The doctor cleared me to my own discretions and after dusting yesterday and steam mopping the kitchen floor I have realized that unfortunately, I'm going to need at least another couple weeks so I don't set myself back even more. I'm so sorry... I really wanted this week to work.

Here is an update for everyone on my health status. Shoulder surgery (scope) went well. It's been just shy of 2 weeks since the procedure. I can start limiting the use of the sling. At least 4 weeks of PT 3 times a week. It's sore and stiff but is feeling pretty good 👍🏽
As for my stomach issue, Nothing really showed up during my upper GI procedure other than some redness of the stomach lining and they took 2 or 3 biopsies and will have those results in the next few days. The Doctor also said he noticed a restriction on the lower end of my esophagus which could be caused my swallowing issues. I am scheduled for X-rays for that next week. Silver lining... I have dropped almost 25 pounds 👍🏽
I'm sorry it's been taking so long but believe me when I say I'm ready to come back! My husband also had his right shoulder surgery (more extensive) 6 weeks before mine so we have been bonding since Dec 7th 🤪
Glad we like each other 😂
I'm still planning on being back March 4th but might have to adjust the amount of dogs I do per day for a while. If you have questions when your dogs appointment will be comment on this post and I'll let you know. Thank you everyone for your understanding ❤️ I really do have the best dog client parents 😊
