Pets like Church here, who came to us wounded, emaciated and in really rough shape. After the care he received through our shelter, he's now living his best life in a loving home. 🫶

Hello,
My name is Church, but I’ve heard them whisper that I look like I could be from Pet Sematary because of how rough I am. I’m only about a year old, but I feel so much older. My body hurts all the time. I don’t remember much, but I do remember being loved once. Then, one day, I was left in the country, alone and confused. I’ve been so hungry for so long that I’ve forgotten what it feels like to be full. My ears itch and hurt, and I scratched them so much that they’re barely there anymore. My fur is missing in places, replaced by raw, bloody patches that sting with every move.
But even though I’m in so much pain, I can’t help but roll over and show my belly when someone comes near. I just want to feel gentle hands on me again, to know what it’s like to be loved and cared for. I’m so tired, but I’m still fighting. I still have hope that someone will see me and help me.
The nice people who found me say they want to take me to the vet to make me better, but they need help. I need help. Please, if you can, consider donating to my care. I just want to be a happy, healthy cat again, to chase a toy or snuggle in someone’s lap without hurting. Every little bit helps, and I promise to give all the love I have left in return.
