Piper (after the airplane becasue she can zoom like one) is the kind of dog who wants to be involved. Hiking? She’s in. Camping? Packed already. Boating? Front row seat. Running? She’ll set the pace. Folding laundry? Emotional support supervisor.

Cocoa needs us, and he needs us now.

He is a loved dog with an owner who cares deeply for him, but love alone can’t pay for the care Cocoa urgently needs. Cocoa needs to be neutered, and his owner simply cannot afford the cost.

With your help, we can give Cocoa everything he deserves:

Cocoa spends most of his time outdoors and is brought inside when temperatures drop. His owner does the best he can with what he has—but without support, Cocoa remains at risk. Biggie (left) and Tank (right) have a heartfelt request—and they’re hoping you’ll say yes. 🥹

These two boys are deeply loved by their parents, but love alone can’t cover the cost of neutering and vaccinations they desperately need. Their family is part of The Rescue Project’s (TRP) outreach program and is incredibly grateful for every bit of support they receive.

When TRP’s outreach team returned for a second visit, the family asked an important question: How can we get Biggie and Tank fixed? The team was welcomed inside to talk through options and gather photos, but in that moment, uncertainty set in. When the picture was taken, the client’s wife asked if permission had been given. She didn’t yet understand why the team was there.

This hesitation is something outreach teams face every day. Fear, stress, and uncertainty can create walls - but compassion and understanding tear them down. As soon as her husband explained the mission, her demeanor changed completely. Gratitude replaced fear. Relief replaced resistance. This is the reality of outreach work in today’s world.

And this is where you come in.

🎉 SPAY FRIYAY! 🎉

Today is a BIG day at the vet for two sweet girls from Kansas City, Kansas who are getting spayed today 🙌🐾 Both are at the age where accidental litters can (and will) happen — and we’re stepping in before that cycle starts.

Their family loves them and wants to do the right thing, but they simply can’t afford the cost of spay surgery on their own. With a little help, they are more than willing and grateful to have both dogs spayed and fully protected 💛

💥 Our goal:
• $200 per dog
• Covers spay surgery + core vaccines

Why this matters 👇
Two unspayed females can contribute to up to 40 unwanted puppies per year. That’s 40 fewer puppies entering shelters, being given away online, or ending up chained in backyards with uncertain futures. Prevention is powerful — and this is how real change happens.

🚨 URGENT HELP NEEDED –MEET OUTREACH DOG COCO 🚨
This beautiful girl has already endured BACK TO BACK litters of puppies, and she was just weeks away from going into heat again — putting her at high risk of becoming pregnant with a third litter.
Her last litter of puppies all broke with parvo just weeks ago.
She miraculously did not get sick, but no mama should ever have to go through that heartbreak again. It’s time to stop the suffering. No more puppies for her.
Her owner truly loves her. She’s an indoor/outdoor girl who is cared for, but her family simply cannot afford the cost of a spay. They reached out for help instead of letting the cycle continue — and that alone is worth showing up for. 💛

Imagine being outside tonight.
Not for minutes.
For days.
For weeks.
For YEARS.

The wind cuts through your fur like knives.
The chain on your neck — the same chain you’ve worn every single day of your life — feels like a strip of ice pressed into your skin. Your water bowl is frozen. Your food bowl is empty. Your body shakes uncontrollably, but there is nowhere warm to crawl.

So you curl up on the frozen ground, the only “bed” you’ve ever known.
You tuck your paws beneath you because they hurt too badly to leave exposed to the cold.
You press your nose into your chest to try to hold on to the last bit of heat you have left.
Your stomach gnaws.
Your body trembles.
And you wonder, like you do every night:

“Is this the night I don’t wake up?”

You don’t bark.
No one listens.
You don’t cry.
No one comes.

You just exist… alone, forgotten, freezing, starving — waiting for mercy.

And then one day…

A car pulls up.
You lift your head, not sure if you’re dreaming.
Strangers step out — but they aren’t like the others.
They kneel. They talk softly. They bring warmth with them that you can feel.

Then comes something you’ve never experienced before:

Hope.

A doorway is opened.
Fresh food is poured into a bowl so full it shocks you.
Warm straw is laid down — not just a handful — enough that you can finally curl up and not feel the bite of the ground through your bones.
A dog house, real shelter, rises in front of you like a miracle you never knew existed.

💔➡️❤️‍🩹➡️💖 This is Josie Ping-Pong, a tender little soul who has survived more than we’ll ever know. She is cautious with new people, not because she’s “difficult,” but because she’s learning what kindness feels like — maybe for the first time.

In her foster home, Josie has already blossomed. She approaches for affection, enjoys gentle pets, and loves being near her trusted human. She is still working up the courage to be picked up, but her progress has been beautiful.

Josie is kennel trained, nearly housebroken, and follows the other dogs confidently in and out. She adores other animals — big dogs, small dogs, even the cat — and draws comfort from their presence. Having a dog in her forever home will help her continue to grow and feel secure.

She will bark when she’s unsure, but with calm reassurance, she warms up quickly and shows her sweet, loving spirit.
