Hi everyone! It's been a while! I wanted to apologize for not being at the Mount Carroll Farmers Market last summer. The plans were set in motion but were not in our favor. I lacked transportation to get my product to the Market and my commercial kitchen deal fell through. It just wasn't in the cards.
We are hoping to join this year, if not on the market square, we would be at the bottom of the hill of the lower market where my home is located.
I am in search of a commercial kitchen to rent. One where I can come and go as I please and pay monthly. I've been looking but I haven't had any luck as of yet.

If I can't find one, I will only be able to offer produce. Here is to hoping to see you all this year!

Someday... someday I'd love to open a deli restaurant here in carroll county. Preferably in Mount Carroll. I'd love to offer sandwiches (hot and cold), baked potatoes with toppings, potato salads made with local ingredients, macaroni salads made with local ingredients, deli meats, deli cheese, and everything in-between. I'd have the freshest and cleanest food around! Maybe we will get there someday! For now, we will see you at the Farmers Market!

Hello Mount Carroll! We are so excited for the Mount Carroll Farmer's Market 2023! We are relocating our garden this year and bringing new produce and products. We have our salads and fluffs including our sell out Steakhouse Potato Salad and Smores fluff! We are also working on perfecting some BBQ sauces and bringing hot soups in the fall. We won't be there every Saturday, but we will be there when we can! Can't wait to see all your smiling faces again!

We were really hoping to be there this weekend but I have two appointments on Friday and won't be able to get any cooking done. Going to try for next weekend. Fingers crossed!

We have been busy with school shopping, puppies, yard work, and just life in general.

We are hoping to bring some new stuff to you seeing as fall is coming up!

Are you grilling this weekend?

Come on down to the Mount Carroll Farmers Market and get some delicious Tomato Bacon Jam for your burgers or brats! It's amazing! You can use it for so much stuff!

Don't forget to grab our best seller, our Steakhouse Potato Salad, for your cookout as well!

We will also have Rose's Mac Salad and some Patriotic Fluff! Blueberries, strawberries, and marshmallows in a cool whip and pudding mixture. The perfect dessert to end your cook out!

We won't be at the Mount Carroll Farmers Market this weekend for a number of reasons...

1. I found a new place to order containers but I won't get them til after this weekend.

2. It's Old Settlers weekend in Lanark and some of you may want to venture that way.

3. There's a good chance it's going to rain.

4. I have a huge birthday party coming up and I need to get my yard in order.

But the good news is I have big plans for July 2nd! Be prepared for a new fluff and possibly a new salad. Hoping to also have my hot sauces perfected and ready to go by then as well!

I am disappointed to say that we will not make it to the Mount Carroll Farmers Market this weekend. My car is in this shop and needs some serious work and it's the only vehicle I have to haul all my stuff. Hoping for next weekend.

Going to try a little experiment today. Working on a hot honey sauce for chicken! Would be great on a chicken sandwich or used to grill chicken! Can't wait to share once I've perfected the recipe!

I have heard you all!

We will not be at the Farmers Market on Saturday. We have some tweaking to do! Also I am keeping my eye out for cooler bags so you can carry around your salads safely without them getting warm. If anyone has any other suggestions please let us know! Can't wait to be back. Hopefully if all goes well we will be back June 11th.

Two more days left til the Mount Carroll Farmers Market and tomorrow I go to the commercial kitchen to make you all some delicious goodies! I will also have ballots available for people to vote on what they want to see more of this summer. Feel free to comment here as well! And if I have the time and my garden dries enough, I will have some fresh picked cilantro and possibly rhubarb.

"Jackie's Crab Salad" will be coming mid June! Why drive out of town to get your sides for grilling when you can just buy it right in town! (Can you really afford all that driving right now?) This is just one of many salads that we will be featuring this year. Can't wait to see you all there!

Red potatoes, green onions, bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and various seasonings make up this beautiful and delicious potato salad.

Bluff View Garden would like to bring MORE to the table, or I should say Farmers Market this year. We are in search of a commercial kitchen to rent on Fridays during the day for a few hours. With the weather being the way it has been there is no saying when our crops will be ready this year. However we do love making food. I would like to be able to offer people some macaroni and potato salads at my booth as well as other things. I have my food handlers license and always clean up my mess! If you think you can assist in any way please send us a message! I would love to offer you all more of what we are capable of!
