A good reminder from the barn today..

God didn’t create us to run nonstop. He created rhythms of work and rhythms of rest.

Even this horse knows when it’s time to lay down and recharge.

“The Lord has given you the Sabbath.” (Exodus 16:29)

Rest isn’t something we earn after we’ve done enough. It’s a gift from God, reminding us that everything doesn’t depend on us.

Take time to rest today. 🤍

Sometimes the hardest thing a trainer can do is not step in.

Could I tighten that cinch faster? Absolutely.

But confidence isn’t built when adults do everything for kids. It’s built in the moments they try, struggle, problem-solve, and eventually succeed on their own.

Will they make mistakes? Of course.

That’s where learning happens.

Every independent horseman starts as a kid reaching just a little too high, trying something that feels just a little too hard. 💜

Productive rides & great company = a fun day. 🫶🏼

🍸Martinis At The Bar🍸 & Gina had a great day. For only their second show, they have big things ahead!

🐞In The Red Again🐞 got back in the show pen. I got lady when she was 6 years old, she is now 17. 😳
Had her shipped from Missouri, had never been shown and taught me oh so much.
Over the years she did A LOT for me, we achieved goals, she won the trophies that now sit in boxes, the ribbon just sit and collect dust.

No matter how much time passes, there’s nothing quite like being back in the show pen with her.
Walking through the gate felt like coming home. 🤍
