Hey Friends,
I just wanted to make another plea for Huckleberry. He's a good boy looking for a new home or at least a foster home. Hound experience? Awesome! Not absolutely necessary but a strong fence is. He's been a family (member) not a hunter his whole life. Due to a housing change he will not be able to go to the next domicile. He deserves to be with someone who can take him on walks and for fun adventures. More training will be needed so I wouldn't recommend him to someone who is real novice with dogs. At 90 lbs he's a big strong guy. Gets along with other dogs and people. I would not put him with a cat.

Up to date on shots, neutered, crate trained and potty trained. Now here's the bonus - He comes with a large secure crate, bed, toys and dog food. You supply the love and attention.

There are not too many Bluetick Coonhounds in this part of the country. He is a head turner especially when you hear his Baroooo-rooo-rooo.

It's true that hounds are not for everyone and maybe that's what makes them so special. Patience, strong fence and a sense of humor is absolutely required. Many of the folks who I've been able to place hounds with have come back for more and more.

Huckleberry needs to be a Hound of the Sound. Please let me know if you are interested or know someone you think might be.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to Willow and of those with full siblings. We are getting closer. Much love towards you all, she has lost about 10lbs, she takes her meds, but her off days are a bit .... not good.

Willow is a bit in the dumps today, she is lethargic and velcro like. She never sleeps where she is at right now, like I don't know, hard to explain... she always wants to be close, but this is different. I listen to her as best as I can, but hmm... she smells and she isn't dirty.

Update, there may be a gofundme to come by a friend. But this is direct clinic info on Willow's behalf.
Okay, I just found out that the vet that I was referred to with the scope who originally denied taking me on as a client due to being full.... Is the one willing to take Willow on due to a long time school teacher and horse friend. Willow is the only animal that I have ever asked for help from the community. She means the world to me and has been the one next to me through my worst times. Anything helps with direct donations not Yakima Valley Vet, but their book keeper Prudence as I am not a client until I make an official appt. Her number is 509-759-7548, they don't open until Monday.
Any help is much appreciated, I have payed forwar many times when I could. Please no negative comments.
I guess to literate Willow may have a soft tissue mass, or a mass with hypertrophic rugal folds, and may need samples for helliobactor... Also could just be a floating foreign body.

Hey all. I don't normally post stuff like this. These days we are all on hard times. I am asking for a little bit of help for my 1.5 yr old girl. Small donations directly to the clinic Animal Medical Services in Yakima, Wa (509) 918-9981 under Cory Smith for "Willow". Her appt is tomorrow, she has already been seen numerous time in 2 months and is getting worse.
A back story, I am her breeder, she almost died at 4 wks old and was on long term antibiotics and steriods. She has been happy and healthy up until recent, still happy but there is something wrong. She went off her food and started vomiting every day. It is now up to 8x per day. She will be under going a barium study to look at her gut health.
Bloodwork was normal, one thing was flagged but indicated could be parasites, well that was neg, urinalysis neg, drug test neg, heart rate elevated.... she doesn't care for men so that didn't mean much.
She will still get the care she needs, but if you have it in your heart, it would be super appreciated. Thank you

This post is directed by Jordan And Diane Davis out of Moxee, Wa (Yakima area). Desperately seeking a safe place for these stray dogs. They have given tremendous care to and worked on trust. There is a video, but I couldn't save it. If interested they may see this post and I can definitely put you in touch with them.

Down to just a week or two before we really can’t do anything else for the girls. We’ll be out of town and they’ll be fending for themselves again. The property owner also doesn’t want them here which is the final straw of it.

They need a rescue, experienced foster or a trainer who is interested in rehabilitating them. I can transport them up to 3 hours from Yakima, and can organize fundraising to help towards their spays. They must initially go together as they’re very bonded, they may eventually get to a place where separating them makes sense but not while they’re still so scared of people.

Today they had a nice breakthrough and allowed me to leash them and walk with both of them. I do think they’ll be fairly easy to rehabilitate but it will take some time that we don’t have. They both walked nicely and could be led into a large crate and the door closed for a moment in the yard. Dawn is scared and will lay down from fear but still takes treats and doesn’t fully shut down which is a great sign. Dusk walks along cheerfully.

Today they encountered the neighbor’s dogs on the property line and went to bark at them but did not escalate into a fight. They’re not dog or people aggressive, and have come a long way.

** UPDATE he found a home.**

Virgil is a 4 year old neutered and up to date on vaccines/ flea control is looking for a family with a lot of time. House broke, good with kids, cats, and other dogs. Pretty mellow. Contact me and I will switch info. He will either be in Tacoma, Wa or Yakima, Wa depending if I pick him up this weekend.
He loves doggy day care as well. Bonus.

I have had some very difficult life changes so I am informing you all that I am taking a break to get back on track. I still have dogs with me and in other places, but I am selling out my supplies and can't say when I'll be back. This is very heart breaking for me, but I will still post and hopefully things will get better.
