Hello everyone! This is Little Foot the Leopard Gecko, isn't he just adorable! 🦎

🦎Fun Fact: Like many lizards, the leopard gecko has a tail, which breaks off readily when grabbed by a predator. This permits the gecko to get away if attacked. Unfortunately, it leaves a valuable food resource behind; the tail is used as a fat storage for lean periods.

Cool Creature of the Day: Flick, the Bearded Dragon! He is so cool looking! 🦎

Fun fact: Bearded dragons have amazing vision and hearing—they can see in color, and can even see things that are moving behind them by using their “parietal eye” (a small gap in their skull). Additionally, they possess acute hearing, allowing them to perceive sounds in their environment. These sensory capabilities contribute to their survival in the wild and facilitate their interactions with their surroundings.

🐾Hello everyone! Just wanted to hop on here and remind you that if your animal is afraid of loud sounds/noises, such as fireworks, then lets go on ahead and get their medications to help them have a better Fourth of July this year! 🐾

Also a couple of reminders to think about:
1. Have your pets microchip information updated (in case they run away or are able to escape)
2. Have some visible identification such as; writing on their collars with a sharpie your telephone number and their name, or having a piece of tape on their collar that has your information on it, etc.
3. Please keep them in a safe space/inside! This could be a kennel, laundry room, mud room, etc. This will make them feel better and more safe. 🐾

Cool Creature of the Day: Ziggy a Desert Ghost Ball Python! Isn't he just a cool looking guy? 🐍

Fun Fact: Their scientific name, "Python regius", means royal or kingly python and reflects the possible practice of wearing ball pythons. In some accounts, they were the pets of royalty, who were said to wear them on their arms or around their necks as jewelry.

Fun fact: Leopard Geckos have eyelids that are not only translucent, but they are movable and can help them close and blink their eyes, but they can do both while sleeping!

Cool Creature of the Day: Iris the King Snake! Isn't she just beautiful?

Fun Fact: King snakes have alternating light and dark bands surrounding their bodies which gives them the appearance of being iridescent. This also helps to startle predators away and can confuse them which makes the King Snake hard to follow.

4/12 Update : We are extremely saddened to report this sweet boys injuries were too severe. This was an extremely hard decision for all of us, but one that had to be made. This decision was not made lightly and was discussed by multiple doctors, the Humane Society, and other veterinary professionals. Thank you so much to everyone that has reached out to us and shared our post. The overwhelming support from our community was truly appreciated.

We need your help! This sweet boy was brought in by a one of our clients. He was found on Hwy 68/80 near Kenlake marina. He is being treated for shock and has a serious injury to his rear legs and hip area. He was wearing a black collar with a silver stripe on it. No microchip and he is not neutered. If you know his mom or dad please have them call us ASAP!

***He is solid black with a little white on his chest and neck. Black Lab with a short hair coat. There is no mark on his muzzle, that was from a loose fitting muzzle when he was transported in the hospital to keep everyone safe. He was wet when he arrived.***

🐾Hello everyone! Just wanted to hop on and say Thanksgiving is just one week away from today! One tip that should be made aware of during this holiday is:

🐾No People Food! This can include onions, pumpkin bread, casseroles, bacon, etc. These foods should be for humans and should be ingested by humans only! People food can cause a serious illness called Pancreatitis. This is when a dog ingests a fatty food source/meal and causes them to have symptoms such as: vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. 🐾

🐾We want your furry friends to have as much fun and happiness during this holiday as you do, so please be a responsible and safe pet owner this Thanksgiving.
