Winter is basically here at Casa de Finch. Everyone who needed to come inside has and the rest are hiding on the bottom. The nights have been getting to about 35-40 degrees.

Update on little Poe Diddly. He is starting to not be so little. He is about 10 months old and his markings on the top of his head are really starting to come through. Some people think the Helmeted African Sidenecks are boring because they arnt supper colorful but I think there is a ton a beauty in the simplicity of them.

Bam Bam (aka Marge) is getting to hangout outside her enclosure with me while we do a little expansion. Needed them to get a little more of that fall and winter sun that we get here in Northern Ca.

This is Chula, she is a Sun Conure that we rescued while rescuing some turtles over in Sonoma. The previous owner hadn't given her water or a bath because she believed she didn't like it. Every animal is different, what works for some might not always work for others even of same species or breeds. Watch your animals they will tell you a lot with there actions and body language. Do not be afraid to try new things especially if something isn't working for one animal. .
