ASPCA raised more than $280 million in 2019 and Best Friends raised more than $100 million. Neither has an office in Tennessee. Think of the amount of spay neuter that could be done in the US for $380 million in one year.

One last time, MSNA has grant money to spay neuter all dogs and cats now! Grants will not cover dogs under 15 pounds or are pure breeds. Every other dog and cat in Macon County can get free spay neuter and free vaccines. Call 615-670-0448 now!

Dog houses in direct sunlight are ovens!!!!!

Sadly if your dog is confined outside, make sure he/she has a secondary shade source (large tree, tarp, shade sail, umbrella, etc).
Also do not leave water bowls/buckets in direct sunlight...they heat up quick and become too hot to drink! We recommend large plastic buckets (not metal bowls) for water and kept in the shade!

Did you know cats are seasonal polyestrous? Meaning they come into heat more when the days are long. Cats can be nursing kittens, just weaned kittens and pregnant at the same time. Please have your pets spayed and neutered.
