400 plus days in our shelter after being in a kill shelter for months prior. 😭
This dog is such a sweetheart and here I am begging again for someone to help her. She’s 45 lbs, around 6-7 years old, she ADORES children, she’s perfectly potty trained, a champ on the leash and in the car, crate trained, not a barker, extremely loving and loyal. 🩷
Now for the con…she just doesn’t like other animals. She needs to be an only pet.
There’s got to be someone out there with no other animals wanting a good girl in their life. Please message us if that sounds like you.

Marco came to us with 11 siblings. In the past 6 months, he has watched all of them go to their forever homes and only one other to a foster home. 🏡
Marco is still here. Waiting on someone to come get him or at least come meet him or even take him for a weekend. ☀️
Marco is almost 1 year old. He’s basically growing up in the shelter. Every time he makes a friend, they leave. But he’s still here. And we don’t know why. He’s a smaller boy at about 40 lbs, lived with cats the first 3 months of life, dog friendly, kid friendly, crate trained, an absolute goofball with a beautiful face and coat. 👀
We would love to get Marco out, even if it’s just temporary. He deserves a break from the noisy shelter.

WE LOVE OUR NDR FAMILY!!! ♥️

Big shout out to Katie, who we all love & adore! These dogs love to see Aunt Katie coming, but I can tell when she’s there bc you will see this sweet girl Ava standing on her back legs, tail wagging and whining to get to her. Not only does Katie come and get our long stays for outings, but she also brings treats, food, bones, etc., she cleans kennels and does the not so glamorous stuff, and manages our raffles. Katie is a big part of NDR & we are so happy to consider her family. 🥰
We are also pretty sure that Ava is her biggest fan. 🫶🏻

We DO NOT adopt out dogs for Christmas presents. 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

If your family wants a dog for YOUR family, that’s fine. But we do not adopt out to you for you to give Grandma a surprise gift when she was never on board to begin with. 🗣️

Dogs are a lifetime commitment. They are not disposable after the new wears off. So……if everyone in the home is on board, awesome. If not, we may not be the place for you unfortunately.
We are trying to put dogs in FOREVER homes. Please keep that in mind this holiday season. ♥️

Happy Sunday! And HAPPY GOTCHA DAY to our sweet boy, Angelo. 🩵 He has found his forever family & this has been such a beautiful thing to see! 🥹
We would like to thank Alison who began loving Angelo before she even touched him. She knew he was hers when she saw him on Facebook but wanted to make sure he was a fit for their home & obviously she wanted her husband to feel the same. 🫶🏻
The Browns took Angelo to give him a Thanksgiving without being in a shelter, and after this past week, Angelo has sealed the deal.

We are so thankful to people like the Browns who decided to open their homes and hearts to a shelter dog. 🐕
Go be great, Angelo!! We love you buddy!!!! 🥳

I cannot fathom leaving this face in the cold on the side of the road with a bed and some food and just driving away. It’s like putting a 2 year old in the woods with a sleeping bag and a lunch box. This is a BABY.
Thank God for the lady that stopped and took all 4 animals at almost 1am.

It’s highly unlikely that these animals would have survived for long in this weather and the small amount of food, and no water.
We are so happy to have Iris and her sister, Raven, so that we know they are safe and warm. We are looking for AMAZING homes that will show these dogs what family is and that dogs are a commitment. If you are that person, reach out today. 💜
