Good morning everyone! We had someone drop off a female cat at our doorstep this morning with a note saying that she was "found in their neighborhood" and they "had to go to work." We are unsure what area she was found in, but she is gorgeous! If anyone is missing a female cat, please reach out to MidCity Veterinary Hospital at 504-304-8223! We ask that you be ready to provide photos so that we can make sure this baby is going back to the right home.

Sweet 11 month, 40lb female Staffordshire/German Shepard/Border Collie/Lab mix (DNA tested) in need of a loving home! She’s very high energy, wants to herd, and needs to be busy with a toy, etc. She would do best with someone who is active and has an interest in keeping up with her training. She still has a few sessions with a trainer that are already paid for. She loves other dogs and has shown zero aggression, however she plays rough and may do better in a house with large dogs vs smaller ones. When she has been corrected by other dogs she responds very well. She has not been tested with cats, but when she has met a cat while on leash she only sniffed him.
She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, kennel trained and potty trained. If the new adopters cannot keep her for any reason (not a good fit, etc) the foster will be happy to take her back. "Cowboy is a sweet 7mo Staffordshire terrier mix. He loves playing with his animal friends, going out for long walks and playing fetch. He also likes to play “rodeo”; he grabs a stick and runs around like a bucking bronco! So cute! He would love a backyard to play in. He has good temperament, he knows basic commands in Russian/English, and is house-trained. He has lived with two adult dogs and a kitten, and the neighborhood kids love him. He is up to date on all vaccinations. He is intact and not microchipped. He has an allergy to chicken so I feed him Taste of the Wild: High Prairie. He was found wandering a friend’s neighborhood in New Orleans this summer. He had signs of abuse, mange and was dehydrated and emaciated. My friend wasn’t able to keep him. I took him in and nursed him back to health. I’d love to keep him but I was only able to offer him temporary rehabilitation. I want to give him the whole world and I hope his new family can give that to him! Please share with people who may give him a good home ❤️Elektra 9785186329"

Good Afternoon MidCity Family! 🐾

As you can imagine, vet work gets quite dirty, and we have found ourselves low on TOWELS! If anyone has any towels/rags that they would like to get rid of, we would love to take them off of your hands. It doesn't matter if they are raggedy or stained, because they will end up that way with us anyways. 💩

‼️ATTENTION CAT LOVERS ‼️

MidCity Vet has another lovely cat up for adoption! His name is Milo! He is 3 1/2 years old, neutered, and full of love to give! This guy is incredibly sweet, purrs like a motor, and can't get enough pets! Although he was an only child at his previous home, he has met other cats and dogs in our clinic, and has shown curiosity and no aggression. Please email or call us to schedule a meeting with our sweet Milo if you are interested in opening your home and your heart to this sweet little butter ball.
