Announcing the opening on Monday, September 16th at 1:00 pm of GSVS’s latest Veterinary facility, located at 191 E. Hanover Avenue, Morristown, NJ. This location will offer emergency veterinary services from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm, 7 days a week without an appointment. GSVS Veterinary Services MORRISTOWN joins the Garden State Veterinary Specialists family of hospitals located in New Jersey and Staten Island.

Dr. Gabriella Iannuzzi is a native “Islander” born and raised on Staten Island. Since childhood Dr. Iannuzzi knew she wanted to become a veterinarian and help animals and people alike. She started her own dog walking/pet sitting business as a child and volunteered at animal shelters, the Staten Island Zoo, and veterinary practices to gain animal experience. After completing veterinary school and her clinical training she moved back to Staten Island and joined the family taking a position with Greater Staten Island Veterinary Services. Dr. Iannuzzi values the well-being of her patients and their families and aims to treat everyone with integrity, sincerity, and compassion.

Her special interests include emergency medicine/critical care, endocrinology, and ultrasonography/radiology. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with friends and family, baking, and cooking. Dr. Iannuzzi has a special place in her heart for her Great Dane, Blue, who she adopted in 2022.

Dr. Camille Petrizzo is another NYC native who moved to Staten Island at an early age and made it her permanent home. She always had a love for animals and pursued her dream of becoming a veterinarian by volunteering and working at several veterinary hospitals throughout the tri-state area. Dr. Petrizzo attended St. Francis College in Brooklyn where she majored in Biology. She then went on to earn her veterinary degree from St. George’s University, completing her clinical rotation at Auburn University. Dr. Petrizzo joined Greater Staten Island Veterinary Services as a rotating small animal medicine and surgery intern in 2018 and stayed on to become a member of their Emergency Department as an ER doctor. Her special interests include emergency medicine/critical care, surgery and shelter medicine. She is a proud mom to her two rescue animals, Jenny and Vinny. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and pets as well playing tennis and traveling.

We would like to introduce you to one of our emergency doctors, Dr. Alexandra Pasaturo. Dr. Pasaturo was born in Brooklyn and moved to Staten Island where she attended Wagner College. Her love for animals was evident at a very young age. Before attending veterinary school, Alex pursued her passion by volunteering at the Staten Island Zoo. She earned her veterinary degree at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Pasaturo returned to Staten Island and joined the Emergency Department at Greater Staten Island Veterinary Services. Her special interests include emergency medicine/critical care and radiology. Dr. Pasaturo is a proud mom to her three rescue animals, Mini, Khloe, and Baci. Mini was her faithful companion throughout Veterinary School on the Island of St. Kitts. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her three dogs.

Dr. Allison Rohde Newgent is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a small animal rotating internship, a surgical internship, and a surgery residency at Garden State Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Newgent performs advanced surgical procedures at Greater Staten Island Veterinary Services including fracture repair, cruciate ligament repair, wound management and soft tissue reconstruction.
