Piggly & Wiggly were raised inside. That makes them super helpful teaching the piglets potty training and key cue words.

Loving on the piglets, talking to them about their new families. Advice: When holding your new babies, make sure all four of their feet feel secure against you, or on your arm.. Helps them feel safer. When I put them down, I make sure to scratch their belly/sides. Hope this helps! Thanks for choosing Lovely Little Pigs. I've had the pleasure of meeting really cool families. Slow and easy is the best way to form a bond with your pig. It's common to want to scoop them up and cuddle them, but this scares the dickens out of them. Remember, you're a giant. Your hand is as big as their body. After 2 days of this, they're following me around.

To my new pig parents, or strangers researching on pig care: Desensitizing your pig to their hooves being touched is key to healthy hoof care down the road. There are many options to hoof care, but if you start young, you should be able to do most of it yourself with a metal nail file. Pigs do not need their feet trimmed until 6 months/1 year. But, this also depends on activity. All of my animals are free-rangers...I rarely need to do my pigs feet, but still practice frequently in case a problem were to arise.

P.S. I use a washing machine tray, with pine shavings on the bottom, and straw sprinkled on top.
Many pig parents use pelletized horse bedding, but I've never tried it. My common sense mom brain thinks they'll just eat it. (it looks like their food)
Never use cedar shavings, this is toxic to pigs.
