Little pressed for time today, so I didn’t get to set up his barrels or get him in the arena but there’s still plenty to do in my backyard. One of which is working on controlled acceleration. He WAS getting naughty about it a few months back. I think it was just a new thing for him and now that he’s finally maturing he’s handling himself like a gentleman👌🏼
3yr old Andalusian Rey
It’s been 10 weeks since the saddle was first introduced. I keep getting better with every colt I start but I need to get in the habit of giving a BIGGER release, especially going around one handed. I’m so thankful I kept this guy. He’s going to be worth it!
Roughly 60days in the saddle. Needless to say, he’s got his mother in him.. I’m pleased with his efforts but we could do better.

1st time at Sorting practice
Last night was Tobys 2nd time around cattle and 1st time at sorting practice. I am so impressed with how this guys handling himself. He’s proving to be a natural. He drives me right to cow I don’t have to do very much but guide him. It’s a pretty cool feeling. His energy is intense and the cows feel it too. The people were amazing and super helpful. Many had advice and helped explain how to play the game. Super cool!
My boy Cazanova. Slow slow slow but hey you gotta start somewhere! 1D performance horses is the best! Thank you for all your doing for us♥️
Cazanova and I have been putting to practice what we’re learning from 1D performance horses. We’re fortunate to be taking instruction from her. My goal isn’t to make him the fastest horse but I want to make him into a fun finished horse! There’s lots of room for improvement and growth. Next is a barrel saddle and learning about pole bending🤗
Cazanova is easy to load and unload anywhere. Hop on him and he’s ready to work. I never need to lunge or do anything prior before getting on. He’s not spooky and super sure of himself. His down fall is he’s slow! Very little motivation but once he knows what your asking he’s all in💙
We had a great time at Lake Paris today. Johnny’s first field trip out there.
Trail ride #2 today. Odessa working on bridges and puddles.
This guy is becoming more responsive and less dull with every ride. He’s ready for lots of trail miles and exposure to the outside world. I can’t wait for our upcoming adventures♥️

My little Rey (Gidget’s Colt) is growing up to be such a gentle soul. His mannerisms is exceptional considering he’s only 2! He will be going up for sale soon. He’ll be an easy start for an amateur rider or one working with a trainer. I would love to see him go into a dressage or equitation program. He’s agile, light on his feet and very smart♥️
Look who came in from polar express yesterday! He asked Santa to find him someone who could break him in for the winter. 4 year old Fjord. I love him already!
He sure is something special😍
