Last day of showing at HITS Dressage show was rainy and soggy. The horses were super anyway !
Jackie and Metro had a really good 2nd 3 and were 1st in the class 😊
Jen and Rubin had a pretty good ride. A bit of trouble with some unnecessary flying changes kept their score down a bit lol They still did well on a 66.8% and 6th pl. I’m so please for Jen that her new boy is a rock star and that she will have an amazing future with him!
Kat and Genesis continued to improve each day at 3rd3 and today scored 64.6% and 6th pl. c. Seeing the improvement this team has made together makes my heart sing!
Audrey and Quantum still having some struggles with the left counter canter, which is costing some points but the trot work has improved so much! They still scored 66.6% 🎉 Their future is so bright!
Audrey and Dooley put in a better test . This level is hard for him but he is getting it and continues to try very hard for her! They scored 63.8.
Rusty was a little funny today so we scratched him.
Such a great week end we all had! So much improvement all around. Training these amazing animals takes time and patience and they each progress at their own pace. It’s such a rewarding journey to be part of that process with each of these pairs. It was a fabulous time with all Team JPK riders and our wonderful support people! I’m feeling blessed to be able to coach this great group ❤️❤️
Thank you to HITS for putting on a wonderful show! The show ground improvements are amazing. Steve and Debra Reinhardt do an incredible job in all that they do to run the show! Thank you to all the volunteers who kept the rings running smoothly😊

Show day 2 at HITS Dressage show was another successful day!!
Devon and Rusty put in another solid ride but not quite as brilliant as yesterday’s 79% lol. They were 3rd in the class on a 67%. But they ended up ECRC CHAMPIONS on a combined score of 73%.
Kat and Genesis rode 3rd 3 again…. Kat now has her BRONZE MEDAL 🎉🎉💪💪 I couldn’t be happier for Kat and so proud of how rideable Genesis has become at the shows!
Jen and Rubin did another fabulous Tr.3 and had 73.2% and 2 nd place. These 2 have become such a great team in such a short period of time 😍
Jackie and Metro rode 2nd 3 and earned a 67.5% and 2nd pl. So much improvement in this pair this year 😊
Jess and Chevy dis their 1st 3 and earned 66.9% and 6th place. Then they rode training 3 for a 67% and 6th place. They are now qualified both for regionals at both Tr and 1st level. Once this young man gets some showing mileage and maturity he will be just incredible. Jess handled his baby shenanigans with great skill and tact!
Audrey and Quantum had a few bobbles in their test along with many great moments too…. They still earned a respectable 62.6% Audrey and Dooley continue to make great progress at 2nd level ……Some super moments!
Kevin and Clyde were 2nd in their Free Style on a 66.1% with such fun music and choreography ! Kevin is doing a great job training this boy!
I am so privileged to work with such amazing people and special horses! Everyone bans together and really supports each other in such an awesome way! I love the amount of horsemanship and sportsmanship I see from all my wonderful team ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you to Joshua Siegel Saddlery who keeps our saddles fitting well and comfortable and Debbie Witty of Peformance Saddlery for providing us the super Trilogy saddles that we all love 😊

Day 1 at HITS Dressage Show in Saugerties, NY and the horses were all soooo good! Everyone rode great and achieved all their personal goals and then some. I am beyond a proud coach and I am grateful to have such an amazing group to work with here and at home ❤️❤️
Devon and Rusty rocked their Tr 3 ( first leg of ECRC champs) on a whopping 79.0% They won both open and JrYr!
Jen and her new boy Rubin did an amazing ride at Tr 3 for a 72.2% and a 1st place. This new partnership is off to the best possible start!
Jess and her young boy Chevy rode their first 1st 3 to a 68.8% and 5th place open. Then rode Tr 3 and were 6th on a 68.4%. There is so much potential in this little guy!
Audrey and Quantum rode 2nd 3 to a 66.1% and 4th place open. This boy is really showing such improved strength and quality in his work.
Audrey and Dooley rode 2nd 3 and earned a 64% and 6th place open. Best test they have done to date!
Kat and Genesis rode their very first 3rd level 3 and earned their first 3rd level score towards her Bronze medal now have only one more score to go! Genesis was so rideable and Kat rode great!
Kevin rode Clyde to a really fun first level Free Style for a 69.1% and 2nd place. Then on his 4 yr old Ryss Tr3 and was 3rd on a 70% then rode it again for a 2nd on a 69%.
Jackie and Metro just arrived this afternoon. And had a great school in preparation for their 2nd 3 tomorrow.
Special thank you to Joshua Siegel Saddlery and Debbie Witty of performance saddlery for our great Trilogy saddles!

I had quick trip in and out of Apple Knoll Farm Sunday for the NEDA Summer show to help Jess Iorio and her young home bred horse Chauvency. They had a great Training 3 with one spook and the rest really solid. They were 2nd open on a 68.4% and they are now qualified for regionals. Great riding Jess! So fun to help you and it’s even more special that it’s on Rio’s baby 😍

I still miss this boy all the time ❤️❤️
My Friesian Bauke ; I earned my USDF Gold Medal on him back in 2015. I trained him from a 3 year old all the way to the top level of our sport . He was a pleasure to ride everyday 😍
He came into my life by way of my good friend Suzanne Walker 😘😘

Day 2 at HITS Dressage show was very successful! Every one is figuring out their new tests and new levels 😊
Zoe ( who had never done a dressage show before )and Maverick won AA training 3 on a 69.2 %
Devon and Rust won JR/YR training 3 on a 67.6% This pair is really becoming a great team!
Audrey and Quantum won their 2nd level test 3 on a 66.9%. Sooo much better than yesterday! Audrey and Dooley were 6th in 2nd 3 on a 60%. Dooley was not so happy in the new elevated ring and had a few too many distraction mistakes. The parts between the spooky moments were very good!
Maxine and Maverick were 5th in 1st 3. The walk and trot work was great. The canter still needs some work but is improving.
These girls all rode so well and are learning so much along the way. Every one was so supportive of each other. I’m incredibly proud to coach this great group of people 💕

First day at HITS Dressage Show, first show of the season, is in the books.
Devon and Rusty won the dressage seat equitation class on a 79.00%. Then they won Tr 3 on a 70.00%. Audrey showed both her horses second level. It was a big jump for them but they both did very well their first time at 2nd 3. Dooley was 5th on a 62.9 %. Quantum was 6th with a 62.8%. Lots of room for improvement but a great start for them both. Maxine and Maverick had some beautiful moments mixed with some very spooky moments in their first ever 1st 3. The new elevated ring was a bit overwhelming for him today but the work between the scared moments was great! Zoe just schooled today in preparation for her first ever dressage test tomorrow.
Great job girls! I’m very proud of all of you 😍

ISO - Due to the fact that the owners of the wonderful farm I’ve been at for 6 years have decided to sell and move to South Carolina, I need to find barns for 8 boarders. They are all AA dressage riders.
In a perfect world they could all stay together. I would like to at least try to keep a few together at different barns. In addition we are hoping for barns that WILL ALLOW me to continue teaching them. I need to find them new homes by 5/31/24.
Looking for places that have :
-indoor and outdoor rings with good footing
- Alows outside instructor
- excellent care
- daily turnout
- metro west or north side of Norfolk county area

E. Bernhard

Six years ago, I found a hidden gem: Stony Brook Farm owned by Jen Hurley with an exceptional trainer, Jodi Pearson-Keating. The recently built barn, indoor, outdoor ring and numerous paddocks provides the perfect setting for exceptional care for each horse. Jodi Pearson-Keating's years of experience competing (GP), and her teaching ability is unmatched in the area. She has the expertise to work with students and horses at any level and encourages the growth and development of each special partnership.

Linda Currie

I’ve been riding with Jodi for more than 15 years. The care here is individualized and attentive because they care as much about your horse as you do! If you are near MA and looking for a dressage barn, reach out to Jodi! I cannot say enough positive things about this barn!

Jeanne Heiple

Very happy boarders and trainees!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful the Hurleys and Stony Brook Farm are and what a terrific trainer (of horses and people) Jodi Pearson Keating is. This is the most exquisite, personalized, safe, sophisticated, expert horse care imaginable. It’s such a positive atmosphere from the top down- management, barn workers, boarders, you name it. I’m so happy here and I know my mare is, too. I hope never to have to leave for any reason!

Beth Ann Cronan …lovely amenities & safety oriented!

Tori Desmond …. amazing care and training!!

Melissa Iozzo …. This place is top notch!

Day 2 at HITS Dressage show and Regional championships has come to a close. Another beautiful day! No one had championship class today, just regular classes to warm up for the champ rides to come Sat and Sun. Some rides were better than others but everyone had learning moments that will hopefully translate to great rides the rest of the weekend. As usual every one on the team was so supportive of each other and showed great sportsmanship!
Kat and Genesis were 4th in 2nd 3.
Audrey and Dooley were 4th in 1st 3. Quantum just schooled today.
Heidi was 1st in 2nd 1 and 5th in 3rd 1.
Jen and Tango had a solid test in Tr 3. He was a little distracted costing a few points but they still scored 64%
Devon and Rusty were 4th in Jr /Yr Tr 3.
Maxine and Maverick tried their first first level test. Unfortunately Maxine memorized the old test so she had 2 errors keeping them out of the ribbons. But so much potential with this young pair.
Jackie and Metro are improving much of the test but a bit of unsteadiness kept the score lower than we wanted.
Wishing my team good luck for rest of week end!! You ladies all rock 💕

Today was first day of the HITS region 8 championship week end. The weather was a bit cold this morning but turned into a beautiful day. All 8 horses and riders all handled this huge, electric venue so well!! So proud of my whole crew 💕
Audrey and Quantum were 1st in their section of first level test 3 on a 69%. She and Dooley were 2nd in their section on a 65.6%.
Jen and Tango had there best ride to date and were 4th on a 67.4%
Kat and Genesis had a few expensive bobbles in their 2nd 3 that had them 7th on a 63.5%
Maxine and Maverick had a solid test in the huge Open Training level Champ class. Unfortunately Maxine had an error but they still scored at solid 66% and middle of pack finish.
Heidi had a solid 2nd 1 and were 2nd on a 63.1% and were 5th in 3rd 1. This is Heidi’s first recognized show on this wonderful boy.
Both Jackie and Devon arrived this afternoon and each had great schooling rides!

Our last day of showing at HITS went really well! We had more great scores, ribbons and personal goals achieved!
Audrey and Quantum scored 77.7% and won both her 1st 3 open class and the open ECRC championship. Her guy Dooley continues to get more rideable in the ring even though the scores not yet where we want them to be.
Kat and Genesis scored 72.5% in 2nd3 and were 3rd in another large class. This is such a huge accomplishment for them…. Kat and I both were very emotional when the score came through. They have come so far, from barely being able to get to lead him and bring unable to get into a warm up area , to this over the last few years is monumental 🎉🎉
Jackie and Metro were Reserve Champion ECRC AA 2nd level
Maxine and Maverick scored 68% and were 5th in Tr 3 open.
Devon and Rusty were 2nd JrYr in training 3.
Jen and Tango had a few spooks at the beginning of their Tr 3 which cost a few points plus Jen was having an asthma attack so it wasn’t their best ride but still a solid test.
Beth and Quinn conquered the scary food court ring. Despite Quinns best efforts to the contrary Beth completed her 3rd test of the weekend with some lovely moments!
Jeanne and Molly put in a much better test! Jeanne really rode during this test!Unfortunately the judge missed that Jeanne went off course. Jeanne knew she had and was waiting for judge to ring bell. When judge finally did the judge didn’t have her restart where the mistake was and that Cost them precious points.
I’m so proud of all my students 💕Everyone showed great riding, improved in the areas we discussed, and demonstrated such incredibly positive attitudes through all the ups and downs of the showing.
Thank you Joe and Maddie for all the behind the scenes help taking care of the horses and people! Would be impossible to manage this large group of horses with out you ❤️
Thank you to the gang at home taking care such good care of the rest of our heard to we can be away , kobrah, Taylor, Ellen, Hannah, Maia, and Jim!!
To our village of professionals who do so much for our horses….thank you all-
Dr. Liz Maloney, our farrier Danny Dunson,
Our body work experts Jamie Cohen, Kristin Logan, our saddle fitter Joshua Siegel and Debbie Witty from Performance Saddlery for our great Trilogy saddles!

Day 2 of showing at HITS went really well. I’m so proud of my group, such amazing people who just love their horses. They are all awesome team mates and friends. I am a lucky trainer ❤️
Several JPK team members scored well into the 70’s, plenty of pretty ribbons were won, and many personal goals were achieved.
Audrey and Quantum scored 76.6% and were 2nd in 1st 3. Dooley was a bit exuberant at times but much of the test improved! Too bad for those few moments.
Devon and Rusty Won the JrYr ECRC at training level.
Maxine and Maverick were 2nd in Tr 3 on a 75%.
Jen and Tango received a 69.8% and 4th in training 3.
Kat and Genesis were 5th overall and 3rd AA in 2nd 3 on a 66%.
Roberta and Jord were much improved in their 3rd 1 and were 3rd with a 63.1%
Jackie and Metro were 4th AA in their 2nd 3.
Beth and Quinn had some great moments in their Tr 1. Great canter to the right Quinn still not feeling the left canter in the ring. They looked great in warm up including left lead now they need to do that in the ring.
Jeanne and Molly had a great warm up and some nice moments in their 2nd 3.

We are here at HITS dresssge show in Saugerties, NY. 11 horses settled in. All schooled well yesterday.
Today was first day of showing and it was a solid day all around. Many personal goals met, several ribbons won, and my amazing group were so supportive of each other and showed great sportsmanship and horsemanship! Such a great group here with team JPK…. I’m very proud of all of you 💕
Audrey and Quantum were 2nd in first leg of ECRC first 3 on a 71.6% and 5th on Dooley who is getting more rideable in the ring each show.
Devon and Rusty won the first leg of ECRC training 3 JR/YR and got their second qualifying score for regionals. Only her 2nd dressage show ever.
Beth and Quinn were 2nd in Tr 1 completing their very first test ever. Quinn didn’t think she needed to canter much in the sloppy so points left in the ring but a huge goal achieved for Beth!
Jackie and Metro were 3rd in first leg of 2nd 3 ECRC. Jackie and Sexxy had a goid school. He’s not here to show just to do a little training.
Jen and Tango put in a solid test in Tr3. Tango was a bit tense due to jumping horses schooling in the ring next to theirs. Jen did a great job keeping it together and preventing any mistakes despite Tangos tension. They were 8th in a large class.
Kat and Genesis put in a great test. They were 7th in a large class. The judge didn’t like the test as much as we did but Kat was thrilled with how it went and how rideable Genesis is getting both in warm up and in the ring.
Roberta completed her very first third level test and her first test on her new Friesian, Jord. Some good moments and some tension also caused by the schooling jumpers in the ring next door. They have a bright future ahead!
Maxine and Maverick had a good test and earned 65%. An unusual wrong lead kept them just out of the ribbons.
Jeanne and Molly had some good moments in 2nd 3 but Jeanne ran out of gas by the canter work. We have a plan for tomorrow to help adjust the warm up so Jeanne will have more left for the test.
Thank you Joe for all the incredible help from Dawn to dusk ❤️

Thank you so much to Dunroven Farm and Laura McGovern for having me in to do a clinic this weekend. It was such a wonderful group of enthusiastic riders on their great horses. I enjoyed watching each pair try so hard get better through out each lesson! Thank you Karen Inouye for being a great host 😊
