Our newest office assistant, Mouse, is ready for hire! She was pretty shy when she first came into the shelter, but has since shown her more rambunctious and playful side!

Mouse is estimated to be around 11 weeks old. She enjoys playing with other dogs, but is also currently a lap dog.. which we are certain she will “grow” out of… but in our opinion, all dogs are lap dogs! 🥰

Mimi and Lexi are asking Santa Paws for a home big enough for both of them. Mimi is 10 years old and Lexi is 7 years old. They are both chihuahua mixes. They have spent their lives together and would love to continue to do so upon adoption. Call us at 816.274.6024 to meet them!

Lost puppy dog! Was found running around our city this evening. Microchip is not registered. Must be able to identify the collar.

Update: Minnie will be transferred to Whispering Willows Senior Dog Sanctuary, Inc.

This little girl, Minnie, definitely lives up to her name. This pup is estimated to be 9 years old. She is deaf and weighs less than 4 pounds. She was surrendered to our shelter and is looking for a forever home! Call us at 816.274.6024 to meet her!

Blake and Orlando are our longest cat residents. They came in together on January 4th and have lived together in our care ever since. Blake and Orlando are less than a month away from being at our shelter for a full year.

Blake and Orlando are a couple of chunky kitties who love long naps and food. They can be playful at times, but they are definitely some lazy cats. They enjoy snuggling each other, sometimes wrestling, and cat nip filled toys. They are estimated to be around 3 years old.

Help us find these sweet boys a forever home for the holidays! 🐾

Meet Superman! Superman is an approximately 8 month old hound mix that was surrendered to our shelter this morning due to no fault of his own. He’s a growing boy, and unfortunately just got bigger than his owners anticipated. He’s a shy guy and is very nervous of new people. We have been so lucky to get Rachel out to our shelter once a month for some awesome pics of our dogs! This will be our last weekend of free adoptions, so stop by while you are out Black Friday shopping!

As we welcome the holiday season, let's not forget the warmth we can share with dogs in need of loving homes. If you're committed to adding a new member to your family, consider adopting from a local shelter or rescue organization. The joy of rescuing a dog is immeasurable, and there are so many wonderful companions awaiting their forever homes.

Tyson is the Spotlight Dog of the month! If you adopt Tyson during the month of November, you can get a $100 gift certificate to The Dogs' Spot - Dog Training Center and Boutique as well as a free 30 minute session!

Did we mention that Tyson also has a waived adoption fee? That means you can take him home with all of the above at no cost to you!

Tyson is declining in the shelter environment and desperately needs a home where he can relax and have more opportunities to burn off his energy!

Tyson is only 11 months old and had to be surrendered to our shelter by his family due to their living situation.

Meet our two newest adoptable kitties! Junebug is a stray cat that was found near an apartment complex, and Pickle (also a stray) came from Chicken N Pickle Headquarters.

Junebug is the snuggliest kitty you will ever meet.
Pickle prefers to just exist and does not require much attention.
