Lunge Line practice.....this pair's communication in and out of the saddle is really fun to see!
It's almost Easter so an egg/spoon game was an egg-celent lesson idea. Students have been thinking about quiet/steady hands while holding their spoon. Inside each egg they found a trivia question, something to do like a stretch or a graphic they needed to identify. This rider was even able to jog Vinny and keep her egg safe in the spoon!
Our indoor riding simulator is so fun, even grandparents want to try it! If the weather just won't cooperate then we "ride" and keep learning in the barn! And sometimes the horses peek in to make sure we don't forget their treats 🤣
Seeing our littles become more independent is bittersweet.
Check out Millie and Midnight 💞
Midnight is SO careful with our epic equestrians! She must have thought we were playing a game and needed to stop at the barrel since there was a cone on top 🤣
We love seeing riders grow in their skills.
Meet Grace, she is our sweet student who owns the very loved Vinny. She has worked with Vinny for years to strengthen their partnership but this month she is stepping out of her comfort zone and riding Cowboy for the virtual show. Just look at her first practice session with him! That sidepass makes us swoon! Can't wait to see how this team does in the Oct show!
This cutie fell in love with Cowboy after just one ride 🩷
When a rider works to overcome anxiety and is now confident loping bareback......EPIC 🥰
After we splash we roll 🤣
Here's Vinny living his best life
When it's hot we splash 💦 we also blow bubbles in the water while we drink 🤣
Riding is a challenge....the phrase "horses have a mind of their own" is true. They can always hear us but they don't always listen to our cues.
Some riders give up easily right before the break thru while others press on. And others reward the smallest try from the horse. This pair has been working hard....we love seeing their journey and how they progress each ride.
One of our parents has an eye for videography and a talent at putting together epic moments. Check out this video with Midnight, Ms Jen and two of our Little Buckaroos ages 2 and 6.
First time trotting!!
Creating epic moments is what we love!
Trotting thru Tuesday like a rock star!
This young rider tried Vinny today and even though she's only been riding a couple months she is working hard to learn her horsemanship and it's paying off! Look at her go! Super proud of her progress!
A little extra....
When you are feeling a little extra and just trotting over isn't enough. This little paint horse is always showing off🫣 while his rider was surprised, she had fun and said "can I do that again?" Of course darling, let's do it again...but I gotta video it 🤣 and yes y'all should be impressed she's riding bareback!!!!!!
Riding at the park is a great opportunity to teach riders how to be safe away from the barn. Our seasoned horses love the change of scenery as much as our students.
Bareback ride thru the park 😎
Beautiful morning for a park ride. Our experienced horses are safe to ride outside of our barn/arena environment, they are perfectly content to have field trips. As we rode today we tried identify anything along the way that might pose a danger or be scary to horses. There’s lots to learn when hooves venture out!
Cruising Cowboy style
Super proud of this little one!
Trotting bareback, and hands in her pockets…..this is the ultimate cruise control.
She’s only 6 years old with not even a years riding so far!!!!
Send a boat
There’s some small puddles at the barn 🤣
“Look Ma no hands and standing in the stirrups!” 🤣
