Harbor had her exam with her 2nd set of kitten vaccines and we didn’t detect any heart murmurs!
She is ready to go home and waiting for her fur-ever family ❤️🥰

We have our first bump in the road with Almonds FIP treatment. He has developed a abscess on his shoulder/back area likely caused by the medication. It can be known for causing sores/ulcers/abscesses at the injection site. Poor Almond is such a trooper as we have made it to a month of treatment! But this still means 2 months to go 😩

Dolce came back to us for the weekend to parade her around and potentially find her a new home. So things didn’t work out where Dolce went 😞 work schedule changed and Dolce was not going to be the right fit for someone being gone for 12+ hours. We totally understand, but my heart hurts for this girl who has gotten passed around so many times. Thankfully the amazing guy who adopted her has helped us out and offered to keep her until I get back from Colorado in the end of May!

We went right hit back to work on her obedience and she can heel so quickly now it makes my little heart proud 🥹 She has the drive of a sport dog!! And so absolutely wanting love and to please

Milan thinks it’s her time to shine and find a forever home. She is a shy girl at first, but with a little time she opens up into a sweet & affectionate baby who loves to rub all over your hands. She will need someone with a huge heart, and a love for orange kitties.

She is completly vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, f***l checked and dewormed. Pretty much all good to go for a full year

Our FIP warrior is doing AMAZING. We are a full week into injections and he is gaining weight and becoming a little kitten again. He went from barely having the energy to walk to zoomies through the house with his best friend Narco 🥹
& yes he is shaved. Everyone thought I just fu**ed up while shaving a small spot, but no the goal is to make it easier for me to give injections long term 🤣 Is it practical. Yes. Does he look stupid? Yes.

There is little way to 100% diagnose it, but Almond is showing all the markers of Neuro FIP. Aka Feline Infectious Peritonitis. Up until a few years ago this disease was a death sentence. We now have a lengthy/expensive treatment process that involves medication that has to be obtained some black market ways. It’s not something you just get from your vet or the pharmacy 🥴
I knew we would run into this disease eventually, and I’ve been terrified for it to show it’s ugly head. The treatment involves 84 days of injections and supportive care as needed 😩 which means this poor boy is going to have to be tough for me over the next three months. I will do everything I can to make this as pain free as possible.

Almond is a shadow of himself. He is slow and painful to move around, sleeps all day, isn’t eating well and loosing weight. He’s listless. You pick him up and he’s like a limp noodle…
This isn’t him. He is a crazy strong boy, I hate seeing him so sick :(

Still looking for a forever home for our mainly toothless little friend Romeo. Romeo is missing all but his canine teeth and doesn't even realize he is any different. We were worried this might limit him to wet food, but this guy doesn't care and will chow down on his dry food. Despite his unique lack of teeth, he is still super food motivated and loves to take any treats you will give him. He does great with our other cats and dogs and can often snuggle our adult cats around the home. He is a sweet boy and can handle our crazy barking dogs & our constant change of fosters in the home. He is very accepting of our new guests. This boy also LOVES to play, and will be a fun and active addition to any household.

Javina is being treated for her eyes caused by a bacterial infection. We are so happy it's not the viral herpes disease! She is just finishing treatment and is ready to finally get a meet and greet. We are hoping to find her a home quickly to help make space for new intakes. She is sweet as can be, and will be your absolute best friend. Great with cats, dogs and kids! She is the perfect little package :)

Kitten season is starting with a bang, I am getting messages daily about taking in new kittens. It breaks my heart to be having to turn down so many already. We will need donations to keep going this summer. I want to help out as much as I can but my time, ability, and money only allow me to go so far. In the next few weeks, we are hoping to get some of our older kids adopted so we can make room for the wave of kittens that come in the summer. If you are looking to donate, my top priority right now is litter! But there are a lot of options on our Amazon wish list for you to go through and choose. Kitten food, milk replacer, toys, cleaning products, and a whole bunch of other stuff all go into keeping up this little operation I started. Okay my friends in the rescue world we need some help DESPERATELY. This is a situation where a coworker can no longer keep the puppy she took in to foster due to family medical issues. She had no rescue/shelter backing so Dolche here has no where to go now. I have a limited amount of days to get her in a rescue, and god knows I don’t want her to have to go to the shelter. We are able to board her up at my clinic but we need to do something about her ASAP.
I am going to get more information from the employee but I don’t believe she is spayed, may and or may not have vaccines, but has been cared for by a technician. I’ll want her going to a rescue not a individual (unless you are a Boulevard client then please reach out!)

My heart is just melting over Peaches & Almond just curling up on the end of my bed. I love being able to offer all my kittens a at home environment where they get to form such strong bonds with our dogs 🥹 And as a dog mom this makes my day, seeing Peaches enjoying this is worth it all.

Zion is ready for adoption, and his personality is starting to blossom. Zion came from a home where he was kept in awful conditions and cats were allowed to breed freely in a home with one resident. He got little interaction at the beginning of his life, so adjusting to his new home here at the rescue has been a long process. We are so amazed to see him come out of his shell, and the other day he was letting a nine-year-old pick him up and carry him around. I was proud of how tolerant and comfortable he was in the room with her. Once he takes a few moments to get to know you he turns into a major flirt. He loves to purr and rub up on your hands. He will make the perfect addition to a home where his new family is willing to go slow but love him with all their heart.

Zion loves food and we have used that as an extremely useful tool to earn his trust. Despite all that Zion has been through in his brief life, he has managed to adjust well to living with us. However, he needs a loving owner who can give him the individual attention he deserves. We can't help but feel saddened by all he has gone through, but we are hopeful that someone out there is willing to take a chance on him. Set up a meet and greet today and let's chat about this distinguished little man.

It's been a busy few months working with 9 kittens we got back in December off Nextdoor. They were being given as "free" kittens and unfortunately, they all came sick and terrified of everything people related. After a full two months of treatment and socialization, we allowed them to start being introduced into the house. It has taken time but slowly we were working on making them adoptable. Thankfully in the last month, we have been able to find homes for a few. We have adopted out Sequoia, Cedar, Granite, Ember, Canoe, and Sedona. Leaving us with Zion, Fire, and Milan. These kittens were hardly FREE! They came with the costs of medical tests, prescription food, medications to control their symptoms (some for months), litter costs, recheck diagnostics, food, and the cost of my sanity for a bit there. I have a load of rescues already at that point and we were NOT prepared for 9 anti-social sick kittens. I spent several nights crying being overworked and over-stressed thinking I could never fully socialize them. They were terrified and needed medications daily.
But we made it through and now I am determined to find these last babies the homes they deserve. We have made it so far with so many of them, but it took 5 months and some blood & tears. Zion is a long-haired orange male (neutered) and he is nervous at first but there is a loving orange kitty under all that.
Milan is a female with orange and white (spayed) short hair and she is just learning how much she loves to be scratched on.
Fire is the last one, a male orange and white (neutered) and he is the toughest one of the group. He has never really adjusted to wanting to be touched, but he will walk all around our legs and rub up on us. I hope with one on one care someone can get him out of his shell.
