Doesn’t Chace look so happy and relaxed on the lake? 😁 He loves summer! ☀️ However, we know some of our furry friends have some complaints about the summer months, like fireworks and thunderstorms to name a few..

For those who aren’t fans of the louder things, it’s a good idea to keep a supply of Trazodone or Gabapentin in your medicine cabinet.. these are both commonly prescribed mild sedatives/anxiety relievers that help take the edge off for some of the scarier summer things. With Fourth of July around the corner, it’s better to start stocking up early to make sure we have time to fill everyone’s requests!

We have plenty of meds to go around, so please call our office at 224-261-8470 to get your pets request on our list! 🐾

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈🩷

In honor of Pride Month 2025, Kohn Animal Hospital is collecting donations of travel-size toiletries for LGBTQ+ youth in the Chicagoland area. Donations will be delivered to Broadway Youth Center, a program of Howard Brown Health, which is an organization that provides basic needs assistance, healthcare, mentoring, and other aid to our LGBTQ+ youth community.

For each item donated, you will receive $1 off your invoice (maximum $15 credit/ invoice). Items most in need include hand sanitizer, travel size deodorant, razors, nail kits, and hair and makeup products for people of color. Used or previously opened products are not accepted. When you’re running low on towels so the clinic cat has to live in a box.. 📦 Hi friends! If anyone’s looking to part with any regular bath towels they have, we are taking donations to replenish our supply! We’re not picky, we just ask they have no rips or holes. Any donations can be dropped off to the clinic, and we would all really appreciate it! 🐾🫶🏼

Welcome to Kohn Animal Hospital! We are a full service hospital treating dogs, cats, reptiles, rabbits, and other exotic pets. The original Kohn Animal Hospital was located in Highland Park, IL and was created by Dr. Leonard Kohn in the early 1950s. His granddaughter, Dr. Greta Mann, has revitalized the practice to follow in his footsteps. We value close relationships with our clients and take pride in our family-type atmosphere here at Kohn Animal Hospital. Our staff is excited for the opportunity to help you and your pets.
