This cat is TOP PRIORITY and is at risk of euthanasia if no commitment by November 22nd at 5pm or if condition should decline even before the listed deadline. HCPRC Plea-Rescue Plea Deadline Nov. 22nd 5pm

Morka is 4 years old, spayed, 11.6lbs who was owner surrendered due to the owner’s health. Caretakers for Morka stated she was “aggressive”- she would run away & hiss. She did not allow handling at intake. Morka is displaying significantly elevated FAS characterized by avoiding contact, hissing, swatting, and lunging when approached. She is experiencing extreme FAS in the shelter which is not compatible with the Five Freedoms and is not appropriate for long term housing. She also experienced FAS in the home she resided in. For best success, Morka should be kept in a low stress environment and positive reinforcement techniques should be utilized to encourage desirable behaviors and assist in development of Morka's confidence. She may best be suited as a "working/barn cat" to meet her needs without providing additional stress. Due to the severity of Morka's FAS, a deadline for humane euthanasia has been placed for EOD 11/22/24 to alleviate continued suffering.

Very fitting that this week is Maxx's birthday.. my light, my hero.. his organs helped others live..

I am a registered organ donor (family pay attention). If my brain has died, I’m done with my body. Throw a Party! Drink, play the music loud and DANCE!!!! Give my organs to whoever needs them. Whatever still works, is up for grabs. I won’t need them. If you’re an organ donor, please copy. I’m curious to see how many of my friends and family are donors.
