Having too much fun horsin' around this past month and haven't got to post our updates from our past horse shows this month 😅

Had a great week at Split Rock Jumping Tour week II
Trinity and her pony Pretty Please had some great rounds in the medium green pony division! Getting stronger every ride! Then even got to adventure into the jumpers on their last day! 💪😁

Then our dearest Ladee stepped up and moved into the big leagues.... galloping around the Rolex stadium ring and having a blast around the crossrail jumpers showing Trinity the ropes of jumper land 😆 definitely the cutest jumper out there.

We then had a fabulous weekend at Lakeside Arena with our youngest Kennedy and her pony Gunner kicking some butt in their leadline class going home with the cutest pink unicorn and all smiles.
And so proud of Kennedy's Beau for his debut in the future hunters!!! What a Rockstar! First time showing around a full course and took home reserve champion 🏆 also very proud of beau and his mama kelli for piecing together their first course work at a horse show! Very bright future ✨️

😁also so proud of Trinity's pony Pretty Please for reallying bringing her A game to lakeside arena taking home reserve champion 🏆 and may have adopted a second pony jock in making!

ISO: A nice quiet restart project horse locally in or around the Lexington KY area. Said horse will be in a full training professional program.

➡️Green is obviously fine but must be quiet, good ammy friendly brain for a timid adult rider
➡️Goals are low level hunter/eq stuff and safe for the occasional trail ride
➡️Main concern is safe over athletic
➡️no preference on mare or gelding
➡️no major stable vices or rehab projects
➡️minimum 15.3h
➡️budget 12k and below

🧠EQUINE TRIVIA ANSWER🧠
This may cause some controversy, but it’s important that you know there are ZERO 👌 benefits to using these restrictive aids. Here’s just a few reasons why:
1: Backwards pressure on the head will compress the neck and the horse looses their power from behind. The horse needs the hindend to move straight.
2: The horse falls onto the front end creating choppy steps and compromising their balance, vision and breathing.
3: Posture is dynamic. Meaning a horse should not be forced into a frame. Even the best looking posture with ruin a body if the horse cannot move or relax their muscles. A fixed headset does not build fitness. It builds stiffness.
4: The head and neck are communicating what is happening in the body. When the body is in balance the head and neck will follow. But micro-managing the head will only create tension and make the horse brace, making you fight harder with the body.
5: The horse will build muscle, yes. But not in the areas we desire. It will make for an overdeveloped neck and no engagement through the thoracic sling. This can lead to issues such as; kissing spine, tendon injuries, hock and stifle pain, nerve compression, and so much more.
There are no quick fixes! Only correct training. Headset should not be focused on too deeply. Ride and work with the body and the head and neck will fall into place.

This past weekend was our annual Cornerside Christmas Party! Everyone made it out of the barn for some primerib and delicious apps and cocktails! Then finished the night with our annual game of Dirty 🎅 Thank you everyone for joining us Saturday so sad we missed a few of our team members this weekend but everyone is sure to love our newest addition to the cornerside grooming area 😁🎁

Obviously every day is about horses for us, but sometimes we forget with all the hustle and bustle that goes along with owning a farm, riding, training, etc..... it's about these little moments. Witnessing the development of our next generation create that lifelong love of the horse. Blessed with some amazing horses through our lifetime and hopefully get to continue to meet many more 🙏 ❤️

🎉 Just some behind the scenes shots of a fun but chilly day spent at the Pegasus Productions Fall classic Show!

🎉Caitlyn and Ladee kicked off our day with the Walk trot Eq bringing home 6th and 6th out a pretty big class in just their 2nd horse show ever!!!

🎉Sarah and Flynn competed in the Long Stirrup Eq and their first ever KHJA medal together! Bringing home 3rd place in the medal and 5th over fences!!!

🎉Then Kennedy and Gunner finished up the day with bringing home the 🏆 in her first ever leadline class!!! Happy to say we think she has the Horse Show Bug! 🤣

Congratulations to everyone!! All that hard work is paying off! 👏 💪 just keep kickin'

🏆2023 KHJA Fall Classic was another success!!! Finally getting around to posting some of the busy weekend! So thankful for such a great team of clients and demanding ponies that clearly know its show time! 😆

🎉Congratulations to all our students!

Sydney and Isadore had some great placings in their intermediate adult hunter division! Then had a fabulous round in their 2'6 hunter derby on Sunday!!! Isadore always keeping us on our toes!! 😎

Sarah and Flynn competed together at their first time at Kentucky Horse park and competed in their first Hunter Derby together and left us speechless!!! Not to mention some great placing in their Long Stirrup Hunter and Equitation divisions. This duo haven't been together for very long and already doing great things!!! 🙌

Big congrats to Caitlyn and Ladee Da competing at her very first horseshow ever and bringing home some great ribbons and memories throughout the weekend! Of course sporting the cutest bows on the cutest pony ever...not biased at all😁

Congrats to Colleen's boy Cody for his debut at the Kentucky Horse Park bringing home a 2nd and 3rd over fences! To say his mom is happy would be a complete understatement 😂 Go Cody!!!!

Congrats to Pretty Please aka ginger and her owner Trinity on a great weekend in the Children Pony Hunters! Bringing home a 3rd place over fences on the final day was just the icing on top to a great weekend!! 🤩

We are a Hunter/Jumper focused show stables specializing in the development of young horses and riders of all levels. We focus our training on the key fundamentals of flatwork and connection to better develop the horse and rider!

Our team consists of all levels of riders looking to grow and develop themselves while having a fun team atmosphere and we travel to a variety of shows throughout the year!

Still going through all the 📸 from a great week our team had at Split Rock Jumping Tour last week! Big congratulations 🎉🥳 to everyone! Even the weather was pretty great all week too.

🎉Congratulations to Sydney and her mare Isadore on competing in their first rated 2'6 division and 2'6 Hunter Derby together!!!🤩 Taking home 4th in the hack!!! And layed down some solid jumping rounds! Isadore also paired up with our newest and youngest little rider to partake in the lead line class with Sydney's daughter Catherine ❤️ what a great opportunity to ride in the big grand prix ring!!! More 📸 to come from her big debute!!

🎉 Congratulations to our other new show team pair Grace and Bella, debuted in their first ever show together in the Walk Trot poles division. Bringing home 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th again in their first horse show together 💪 what a bright future ahead! We may have graduated from the W/T already 😄

🎉Congratulations to our other pony pair Elena and her large pony Creampuff! Competing in the Childrens Pony Hunters bringing home a 3rd and 4th O/F 🥳💪 and they also competed in the 2'6 Hunter Derby on Sunday laying a beautiful solid round down, in a huge class!

🎉Congratulations to our big girl EWSZ Mirage pinning 3rd in the Ushja hack and 2nd, 3rd over fences in the 5yo young hunter division!! Jumping some beautiful rounds at her first time competing at the Horse Park! This beautiful young mare is doing superb we are very proud of her! She certainly loves the horse show life!

🎉Happy Birthday🎉 to this old "young" man!!!

Sylvester turned 25 today he has recovered from a horrible shoulder injury back in October putting him on 6 months of stall rest and this guy still looks this good!!! Thank you for a wonderful team keeping this guy looking and feeling great.
