It is with great sadness that I announce that I am retiring from grooming effective the end of November. I have had a great run of 16ish years doing something that I had no idea I would absolutely love. I cannot believe that it is about to be over and I will have to say goodbye to my amazing clients and their amazing pups. I have had a good cry everyday since the decision was made.
But with this sad news comes great news as well. My good friend and business cohort Kirsten has purchased Woof Grooming from me and will continue to provide the professional grooming services that we have always offered. I am proud of Kirsten for taking on this challenge and I know that she will be amazing at keeping Woof as spectacular as it is, while adding her own flair. And with Kirsten, Lisa will still be an important part of the Woof team.
We are also pleased to announce that we have a new groomer stepping in to take on my clientele so that no one will be left behind. Heather has been grooming for close to ten years and does beautiful grooming, I’m quite sure everyone will be pleased.
I would like to thank my husband, Dag, for the support and patience throughout my grooming career and business ownership. Thank you to my best friend, Nan, for all of her support and encouragement. Thank you to Kirsten for standing by my side and keeping me entertained, I feel like you are a friend and daughter and I’m proud of who you’ve become. Thank you Lisa for taking a chance and joining the Woof team after Covid, I think it was the right choice for all of us. Most importantly, thank you to my clients. You are why I have loved this shop and this career. You have stood by me through surgeries and shutdowns. Through trees landing on my car to no hot water. Some of you have followed me to four or five locations. I love you all and know that I carry you in my heart like family.
All my love,
Carol
