We are all so shocked and saddened by the sudden loss of our assistant Clarissa. Her kindness was so abundant and her love for animals was obvious to anyone she worked with. We are sending all of our thoughts and prayers to her family during this incredibly difficult time.

Wow! We are so grateful for the interest in our cat grooming services! We were not expecting such an overwhelming response! To provide the best experience for our newly added clients, we are not able to accept new cat clients at this time. BUT! We are working hard to add more appointment availability for cats and hope to be able to take new kitty clients again soon! We are beginning a waitlist and as soon as we are able to take new cats again, anyone on the list will get first priority for scheduling! To be added to our waitlist call or text 412-716-2352!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! Ours was extra special this year! Charlie Wayne was born December 22nd and we were able to bring him home on Christmas Eve! Charlie is healthy and happy and Emma loves her new little brother!
I will be out on maternity leave until March, but the girls will continue taking great care of your pups while I’m away! Thank you for all your continued support and well wishes! I hope you have a happy New Year, I’ll see you in March!

We couldn't be more excited to share the news! We added groomers to our team so we will not only be staying open for Kait's maternity leave, but we are now able to accept new clients!! If you know anyone who has tried to get in with us recently please spread the word that we can now get them scheduled and have openings before Christmas!

I just wanted to give everyone an update on our little Emma.
After 56 days she said ‘see-ya’ to the NICU yesterday! She’s healthy and happy (as long as she’s not hangry). She’s up to 7 lbs!
The girls have passed along everyone’s prayers, well wishes, and gifts. We can’t thank everyone enough for all the love and support you’ve shown us.
Now the fun really begins and my real maternity leave actually starts.
I hope to be back to work late June/early July depending on Emma’s progress. I’ll keep everyone posted on my start date!

My Story

Hi, my name is Kait Mentch. Animals have been a lifelong passion of mine. I’ve been in love with them since I could remember, begging my parents for a wide variety of pets from the time I could talk. I got my dream high school job as a veterinary assistant at 17. I gained nearly a decade of experience there and a lifetime of memories and life lessons. In 2012 I completed grooming academy and I have been loving my job ever since.

Operating my own salon has been a dream of mine since I began grooming. I knew if it were to ever become a reality, it would take a ton of hard work and dedication. Through continuing education, attention to detail, and a focused work ethic I’ve pushed myself to constantly improve my grooming over the years. I am confident in the quality of my work and take pride in every groom I do. So, after years of working in the industry and an overwhelming amount of support from my husband, family, and friends, I’m prepared to finally bring my dream to life.

At Kait’s Grooming Gallery, every dog will be treated as if they were my own. With my experience as a veterinary assistant and groomer I’ve learned that each dog has their own unique needs and they may vary at each appointment. Each dog will be assessed at every visit and they will be catered to accordingly.
