Hello everyone, it’s that time of year! If you are wanting your dog groomed for the holidays it would be best to schedule an appointment soon so you have a spot saved closer to Christmas. The weeks leading up to Christmas get so busy that I can’t guarantee I will be able to accommodate last minute appointments. I will only be taking appointments for established clients (groomed by me within the past 6 months) only for the rest of the year, but may open up the books to a few new clients after the new year. Thank you all and give the pups a hug from me 😊

Exciting news! You will all be glad to hear that the driveway is getting worked on this week! The salon will be closed for the rest of this week while they are smoothing out the driveway and tearing down the other house. This little angel came in for her first introduction to grooming and I think I’m in love! 🥰 Teaching puppies that grooming should be a pleasant experience is one of my favorite things about being a groomer. Being able to cuddle them and get puppy breath kisses is definitely a bonus too 😄

Did Santa bring a puppy this year? Don’t forget to bring them in for their first puppy groom! In the excitement of having a new fluffy family member this important step is often overlooked. Teaching them early that grooming is not supposed to be a scary experience is very important and can make all the difference in how your new fur baby feels about getting groomed. Starting at home by touching their feet and ears often and introducing them to the brushes and combs you will use between grooming appointments is another great way to ensure they will have no fear of the tools needed to care for their nails, skin, and coat. If you have any questions on how to care for your new pups coat I am always available to chat! Here is a throwback pic of last year when Santa brought us Hank🥰

Look at this sweet girl taking a break mid groom! Senior dogs need extra time and care to make sure grooming is a comfortable experience for them, so we take breaks as often as they need to. She will feel so much better, and cooler, with all of that undercoat off!
