Hi y’all, me again!
Reposting and asking for your support. Once we have funds I can book the trip ASAP! I am covering all my own expenses, donations cover dog costs only.
A LOT of this comes out of pocket for me and it’s not sustainable. Many hands make for light work—if you chip in the funds, share, ask friends etc. TOGETHER we can make this happen.

INTRODUCING: xena—warrior princess!

this delightful gal is low energy in the home but still loves her walks and off leash romps.

xena quickly opens up to an expressive, playful, silly, sweet little gal. she likes attention but isn’t clingy, love walks but doesn’t go nutty without one, and is just overall an even keel lady. she’s quiet and respectful in the house, in the car, and out on walks—at least until she sees a squirrel!

she is great with other dogs who respect her space, including small dogs.

she does require a home without cats or other small critters. she also needs a child-free home or one with older kids.

she’s 6-8yrs old, 40-45lb, and built for new england winters. of course spayed and UTD on shots.

located in portland, maine—available in across the northeast or beyond for the right fit.

celebrating ONE YEAR of dog rescue by making our biggest trip yet. if you haven't followed along on this journey, we've been working in Central America doing street dog (and occasional cat!) rescue. to date we've supported in over 40 export adoptions to US, Canada, EU, and UK, have pulled dogs off the street, made multiple trips down, and fostered and adopted out dogs in the US.

GOOSE is officially “on hold!”
Just 10 days after landing in the US this delightful gal already has a serious suitor. Goose will be going on a home trial soon.

We believe that proper assessments cannot be made quickly. Often times the adoption process puts a lot of time constraints and pressures on adopters to decide and commit quickly. No shade—these organization are moving a LOT more dogs than our “one life a time” approach.

We require a 2wk+ home trial before an adoption is finalized. This allows time for the dog to decompress and settle, and for the humans to really determine if it’s the right fit. Being such a small operation, we are lucky to be able to take this time and space in our process.

We are still accepting back up applications for Goose if you’d like to be considered!

Goose quick stats: 1-2yr old 35lb medium/low energy. Cautious with new people, ready to rumble with all new dog pals. Untested with cats or kids. Cuddly, affectionate, gentle, and goofy.

ADOPTED!!

after 3.5years of waiting, f***y finally found her forever home today. f***y is the first dog SARA brought to the US as a foster, without a home already lined up. this was a huge leap in our rescue journey, as our operation continues to grow. this was a very special day for f***y, for her family, and for SARA: Street Animal Rescue Alliance.

this tender, playful, athletic pup is looking for her forever home.

•1-2yr old, 35lb, medium energy
•fantastic with other dogs—socially intelligent and leans submissive
•ideally would have a playmate or regular playdates!
•not tested with cats (but hasn’t shown much interest)
•likely would be fine with older children
•can be timid around strangers and crowds—we are still assessing her in this area

she’s adapted very well to home life and is learning basic commands. she is gentle, silly, and affectionate.

goose is currently fostered in portland, maine and available to the northeast (or beyond for the perfect fit).
