Hera, our two year old Fox Hog mustang filly is now ready for her new home.

She is fully gentled and competed in the 2023 Sacramento Tip Challenge at the Western States Horse Expo last year.

She also competed in hand at our local High Mountain Riders Schooling Show on May 19th.

She has been sat on ba****ck a handful of times and saddled once. She has been ponied on trail rides and is very confident.
Her first saddling was uneventful and she barely blinked at being cinched up.
She is good with her feet, bathes, trailers and stands tied. She is easy to catch on pasture and gets along well in a mixed herd.

She was last measured at 14hh and has lots of room to grow!

I believe she would make a wonderful mustang for a first time owner, and/or a future kids horse with the appropriate time and training.

More pictures to follow, but here’s some quick snapshots from our local High Mountain Riders schooling show here in Quincy.

I decided to keep things simple this go around and took two horses. Our three year old filly, ShonuffATigerlily and Pawnee, my 23 year old gelding.

I couldn’t be prouder for how they performed for me today.
Lily far exceeded my expectations and was a total star for her very first show under saddle and was a very willing partner in our walk/trot classes. She was also extremely brave during our walk/trot trail class, opening &closing the gate, and crossing the bridge like a champ! 🤩

Pawnee was an angel as always and he and I had a blast in the loping classes, winning us the High Point in the 18 & over division.

I’m so stoked for the next show! 🤩😍

Our Fox Hog HMA Filly Hera had quite a few ‘firsts’ today!! 😱🤩
First saddle, first time being ponied and first trailride (being ponied)!
I’d really like to take the credit, however this two year old has one of the best minds I’ve seen in such a young horse in a really long time.
She took everything in stride and I couldn’t be prouder of her. She is gonna be a cool one!

Our only 2024 foal will be due in late May!

I am super excited for this cross, and though in my heart I want this to be a keeper, I will be offering this foal.

I would love to see him or her go to a show home.
